Good Morning! I am trying to get back to my regular posts but I have so many cards to explain How I made them first, so I thought instead of doing a Sketch card for my post today, I would explain How to make these Pop Up Cards.....
Also another reason is I must do my ironing pile today, as my Hubbie will be going in his clothes cupboard and will soon be HIT in the Face with my HUGE pile of Ironing that has piled up while I have been cardmaking!!!!! Ironing is not my favourite pass time, and anyone who knows me, knows I always have an ironing pile. I just don't know where it all comes from?
Anyway, I found the instructions for these cards on Splitcoast stampers site. Mary Jo did a beautiful card using this sort of card. You can find the tutorial here. Look down the list and find Free Standing Pop Up Card. Her step by step instructions are fantastic, I followed the same measurements for both cards.
The first card is the ONE OF A KIND stamp set, using Close to Cocoa, Rose Red and Pretty in Pink cardstock and ink. I also used the Styzlied Hodgepodge set, actually I think I need to order another tin as I have nearly used up my first one!!! Its full to the brim with bits, but I just couldn't stop using them, especially the little ribbon flowers.....
The middle of the flowers on this card was punched out with the *NEW* Boho Blossum punch, Cor! that makes life easier, although you should know I like cutting out projects, Don't I Mary?. The paper snips makes it so EASY.
As I said before this stamp set is A Holly, Jolly Christmas and the Santa is so cute.
Do you know you can emboss with Stampin' UP Classic inkpads?
Well you can,
Just ink up the stamp first with Versamark ink, then ink it up with the Stampin Up inkpad or Stampin Spot (New tiny inkpads).
Stamp your image onto cardstock, try whisper white first, lovely.
Add Clear embossing powder and heat with the Heat Gun!
There you go Embossed with a Dye ink pad. Brilliant, saves loads of money buying other inkpads - As I say All you need is Stampin' UP! Hee!!
Hope you all have a good weekend,
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx
**Edited to Say - You can fold up these cards Flat for Posting, even with the Foam pads I used they are still quite flat and will fit into a normal C6 envelope and you can get 2 from a piece of A4 cardstock by cutting it at 10.5cm wide.

That first pop up card in the picture is just gorgeous!!
Yes your Pop up cards are brilliant and I hope I can make a card even half as good as you then I will be happy. Yes the Boho blossoms punch is sooooooo much better than trying to cut the flowers out. Your launch for the new catalogue was fantastic, with door prizes (of course I won the first - a scrapbooking kit) and the games with stampin up prizes were great and a lot of fun (yes I won one of those as well - 1/4" grosgrain ribbon)

As always beautiful and perfection itself.
