Prized Peony Gift Bag Tutorial

Morning Everyone,

Hope you are all well,
Back to a subtle colour combination for these cards and matching gift bag. I used the Peony Garden designer paper pack again, it has Petal Pink and Grey Granite with white as the main colours, just gorgeous.
For my Prized Peony Stamp Class in the Post I used mostly the dies that are in the Prized Peony bundle but for these I used the actual stamped images from the stamp set.
I stamped them in grey granite and coloured in with the stampin blends.

The gift bag is a whole sheet of 12 x 12 paper,

I scored at 5" & 7" on one side and then turn the paper once and
Score at 3" & 9"
Use your bone folder to crease all the score lines well first.

Bring in the two sides to the middle on the 3" & 9" score lines,
Use your finger to bring in the middle paper edge to the outer edges and you will form a diagonal score line. Use your bone folder to crease that line.

Repeat that fold on all four sides top and bottom.

Glue down the tops of the papers and open up the middle and glue down the section with the diagonal.

Your bag will look like this after you glued back the middle sections.

To make the two handles, cut two pieces of grey granite 6" x 2 1/2" and score them in half at 1 1/4".
Use a small circle punch to take out the notches to slide in the ribbon.  I used 12" or 30cm pieces of ribbon, you need two.
Add double sided tape to add this to the top of the sides of the gift bag, sandwiching the bag between the yardstick layer.

Repeat the handle section on the other side of the bag.

Decorate the front as you wish, I did mine to match one of the cards.

This is the card to go with the gift bag.

I stamped the flower twice, used the matching die to cut them out and then cut the top flower by hand added it over the top with 3d dimensionals.

These peonies were stamped in petal pink on petal pink card stock and the leaves were stamped in old olive ink on pear pizzazz card stock.

A simple card using the tiny peonies in the stamp set.

Hope you make one of these gift bags, they have been around for years, but always good to revisit great ideas especially when there's so many lovely designer papers in our catalogues.
