USA Stampin' Up! Convention 2013 and Incentive Trip to UTAH......

Hello Everyone,

Where do I start?  Gosh!  I am finally home..... from such an amazing trip to the US with Stampin' UP!  It all started with a travel pack with all our trip agenda and lovely luggage tags.

Then I made a few swaps!  Well that is the best part isn't it - crafting.  I haven't opened my craft room door yet!  As my family keep wanting HUGS.....

I made these gifts for the other UK ladies that went on the Incentive Trip.

Little decorated heart tins with a little tiny card inside with a Union Jack Pin for their lanyards.

All done in Red, White and Blue.  This is the back.

For my swap cards, I did a little bit of cutting out!  Well actually a lot of cutting out!  I used the Wildflower Meadow in the lovely new in colours.

Another swap card was a slider card using the Summer Silhouettes stamp set.

And I made a matching drawer smellie pouch.

We got to Heathrow early on Tuesday morning after staying over the night before.  We went to check in and they said our Esta wasn't on file, so after a bit of a mad panic it got sorted out!  We were on our way. I was travelling with Maria and Bekka.

We had to change at Paris, this is the plane we went to Salt Lake on....

We were meeting up with Dawn and Fiona in Paris.

I had such a laugh with Dawn, Fiona and Maria, they were all perfect travelling companions.
Dawn brought some gorgeous Macaroons in the Paris terminal, the air hostesses eyes popped out when the box was opened up! hee hee

After a 10hr flight we had arrived in Salt Lake.  What a lovely place.  Mountains galore!

We went straight to our Hotel the Marriott and dumped our bags.  It was still early (well midnight for us but only 5pm in salt lake).  We met up with Kirsteen, who was a lovely host and she showed us around.  We went over the road to the Salt Lake Temple Gardens.  They were beautiful and so peaceful.

Bekka.

Our Hotel was behind this Temple.

We went out for Tea to the Cheese Cake Factory!  Gosh, they were HUGE!

This was my Tea!  This was also a starter......Actually we lived on starters, as the portions in the US were HUGE!  These were called Mini Bite Size Chicken Burgers.  There were 4 on the plate......!!!!  Hence we were all far too full up for a cheese cake Doh!

This was Bekka's which was also called a starter...

We were up bright and early the next morning.  Kirsteen kindly drove us up to the Snowbird Mountain Resort.  We had a lovely lunch and went up the top in a cable car.

This was the view half way up.

On Thursday morning we had to go and collect our badges for Convention, but then we had a free morning, so we went back to the Temple Gardens and went for a lovely long walk to the Cathedral of the Madeline, which was closed but it was lovely to see the building.

Me and Maria, my guest for the trip.  My Hubbie stayed home to look after Sid and the Boys.

The temple gardens.

The flower beds were amazing.

One of the roads had this structure going over it!

This poor policeman!  We loved his hat and uniform, so we asked for a photo hee hee. Poor chap!

Then we were off to Convention on Thursday night for Opening Session.

Wow! 6,000 People.....It was fantastic.  Roll on our European Convention in Manchester in November....

Dawn, Me, Maria, Kirsteen and Fiona.

Check back later for more updates on our Trip to the USA.

Thanks for looking,

Jenny :-)xx

Holy moley there's no way I could eat in the US - think I'd rather starve LOL
I'm sure it was an eyeopener especially in Utah!
