Good Morning Everyone,
Something a little different for you today, a little tutorial for a super lovely item in the new Spring Catalogue. On page 27 you can find the Botantical Garden Jewels. They make lovely scissor charms to personalise your favourite pair of snips! Stampin' up Scissors.
In the Sale a Bration brochure on page 4 and 5 there are a couple of products to co-ordinate with the Botantical Gardens Suite.
You can see the vellum layer on the bottom of the card with the sentiment stamped on top.
I really love this sentiment and font.
BOTANCIAL GARDEN JEWEL SCISSOR CHARM.
TUTORIAL...
Start with the matchbook cover.
For Measurements in Centimetres.
Take a 16.5cm x 5cm piece of cajun craze,
Score along the 16.5cm side at 2cm, 9.5cm, 10cm
For Measurements in Inches
Take a 6 1/2" x 2" piece of cajun craze.
Score along the 6 1/2" side at 3/4", 3 3/4", 4"
You will need the charm holder, I think you will find these in a beading section in a craft section of a store. I got mine from the range.
The jump ring is opened to hold the jewel.
Close it back up with pilers.
The white layer is 7cm x 4.5cm or 2 3/4" x 1 3/4"
Use the trio corner punch to decorate the corners and the slot in the centre.
Punch the corners first and then lay the punch upside down, insert the layer centering it.
Lay your hand flat to push down the punch, carefully.
LAY the white layer in the cover so the top is touching the second scored line.
You do not glue this layer down.
Bring up the bottom section keeping the white layer in place.
Tuck in the other end of the cover behind the bottom folded up section,
Use a hand help stapler to punch in the centre of the bottom section making sure you don't staple the folded front layer as well.
Decorate the front.
I used the Bontanical Builder Framelits to decorate in hello honey and black.
On page 26 there is a great Bundle includes,
Botantical Stamp set, Designer Paper & Framelit Dies
For £46.75
Fantastic Offer.
Not only that you will qualify for a SAB item which you could choose the Botanticals For YOU stamp set used on these cards.

Jenny:-)xx
