The card sketch layout was out early today, so I decided to go with that for the first card. I treated myself to Roses in Winter stampset and it came yesterday - Cor! How on earth did It take me so long to buy this one? Its beautiful and fantastic to work with, If you have a workshop booked with me this month - I will be Demonstrating this stampset......
The base cardstock for both cards is Sage Shadow. Half a sheet of A4, scored it 3cm and then cut away 1.5cm and folded the front part back. I stamped the Canvas Background stamp in Sage Shadow and went over it with the leaves from the Roses in Winter stamp set. I used the Petite Scallop circles and the large Standard circles nestabilities. The flowers come in 3 sizes, I stamped the large one in Pretty in Pink, then the next one in Regal Rose and then the little centre in Rose Red. I added some leaves in Sage Shadow. The Regal Rose ribbon was added to the folded section held in place by some rhinestone brads from the Pretties Kit. For the inside I used the En Francais background stamp, in Regal Rose stamped on Pretty in Pink cardstock. The sentiment is Sincere Salutations......
Yet again the base is Sage Shadow, the other half of A4 cardstock...
I ran a piece of Sage Shadow through the big shot with the Script embossing folder from cuttlebug. Then I stamped the En Francais on Pretty in Pink this time with Versamark ink, I like this paler look...
I added some brads, on top of 1/4 circles of Regal Rose and layered this onto some whisper white. The pretty in pink taffeta and pink gingham was then added and tied in a knot to the right. I added an Oval with the same Rose design to finish off...
I made these with one eye on the Garden this morning as last night my Hubbie saw a RAT in our garden!!!!!!! I ran out there with Sid and we both ran straight back in! Hee! I thought Border Terriers were meant to be Rat Catchers...... This is the first time I have seen a Rat and we live backed onto Heathland, we've had Adders in the Garden which is another story altogether.....2 stories actually.
I was making these cards so quickley, then I heard tap, tap, tap.....My heart was in my mouth I can tell you.... Only Pigeons on the roof of the Garage running up and down. Well I think that was enough for today so I have come inside!Until next time,
Thanks for looking,
Jenn:-)xx

Suspension Cards......
I took these cards to Craft Club last night as I am taking over Janette's Demo on Suspension Cards as she will be unable to make it.....This first one is using the Carte Postale stamp set and French Flair background stamp. The base cardstock is Pale Plum. I stamped the French Flair background in Perfect Plum ink and went around the image with a white gel pen.
Next, I took a piece of Perfect Plum cardstock and punched out a 1 3/8 circle and did the same on a piece of Pale Plum cardstock. On the Pale Plum cardstock I went back over the hole with the scallop circle punch to make the scallop frame. I glued this to the piece of Perfect Plum cardstock. I added some dots in the scallops with a white gel pen. Next I punched out 2 1 1/4 circes, 1 in Pale Plum and 1 in Perfect Plum. On the pale plum I added the flower from the Carte Postale stamp set, and the Perfect Plum I added a sentiment from the circle of friendship stamp set, both were punched out using the 1" circle punch. To assemble:- Turn over the Perfect Plum layer that will go on the front of the card and add your glue or double sided tape etc and then I used a piece of Dental Floss (or cotton) to go down the middle of the circle. Then I added the 1 1/4 circles with the images on, to either side of the Dental Floss, therefore the Dental Floss is sandwiched between the two circles. Now attach this to the front of your card!!!! Card finished.....
This shows a close up of the Suspended circles that spin around. If you twist the circle around and around then hold it down when you put it in the envelope, when the lucky person pulls out the card the Circles will spin around showing both sides......Good Hey!
This is the back view, Got to love those Circle of Friendship stamps, and the 1" circle punch, punches them out perfectly.....
This was another sample I showed, using the Lovely as a Tree stamp set. The base cardstock is Always Artichoke which I stamped over the top half with the tiny cones. I added did the same as above but used Winter Green designer paper with the Dental Floss and the 1 3/8 circle punch. I used the Circle of Friendship stamp set again and added some Certainly Celery ribbon. I inked the Tree with my SU Marker pens using Chocolate chip, Old Olive and Always Artichoke and layered it up on Always Artichoke and some Chocolate chip.
I have just had a look at the Try a Technique and its a really cool 2 way opening card, so I'm off to make one of those today after I have completed all my book work.
Hope you have a nice day what ever you are up to!

Two Tone Quickie Cards....
I love using just one colour but in a few tones. Today I realised that Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink go well together and also Brocade Blue and Bashful Blue are lovely together as well. All 3 cards used the stamp sets Garden Silhouettes, En Francais Background and Occasional Greetings. This one I stamped on whisper white with Bashful blue with the background stamp and then went over it with the flower spray in Brocade Blue. The swirly writing is beautiful on the background very vintage! I added some Brocade Blue ribbon which is held in place by some rhinestone brads from the pretties kit. The sentiment was stamped in Brocade Blue and a flower spray in bashful blue on the whisper white and then layered up. I added 3 flowers from the Pretties Kit to finish.
This one is very similiar but in Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink. The background looks just like some designer paper. I pricked along the bottom of the sentiment and missed off the flowers.
This one is Bashful Blue base card, stamped with En Francais background in Bashful Blue ink. I went over in Brocade Blue with the flower spray. I stamped the flower spray twice on whisper white in both the blues and then the sentiment in Brocad Blue. I added 2 stripes along the top and bottom to save card, in Brocade Blue. This is a very light card and uses very little cardstock.
Don't forget my April Special offer is only on for 2 more days so don't MISS OUT!
Thanks for looking,

Mixed Bouquet in Sunny Colours.....
All my Sunflowers seeds have come up, so I was inspired to use these colours... These 2 cards were so quick to make, I even made them standing up as not much time to stamp today..... One Son home due to School Teachers being on Strike! So we have lots of stuff we want to do together today - After all they are only young once aren't they?
I used Mixed Bouquet, Sanded Background and Sincere Salutations stamp sets on both cards. This one has Old Olive for the Base card, stamped with the Sanded in Old Olive ink...
I added 3 panels of More Mustard and some So Saffron embossed with the Tiny Mosiacs embossing folder. Then I stamped the flowers 3 times in So Saffron first then More Mustard, cut out parts of them to make the Rose. I stamped them again on a piece of Very Vanilla and added some leaves. I stamped the sentiment in Old Olive from the Sincere Salutations stamp set. Added some glitter and layers of So Saffron and More Mustard and popped them all up on 3D Dimensionals.
I swapped the colours around for this one, Base is More Mustard, stamped with Sanded again! Just got this background stamp - How did I miss this one? Next is a layer of So Saffron edges distressed with the Cutter kit...
I added 3 panels of embossed Very Vanilla, cuttlebugged with Swiss Dots Folder. Added some More Mustard ribbon, then the middle section was popped up with 3D Dimensionals. I stamped the large flower from the Mixed Bouquet set in More Mustard and cut out. I stamped the other flower in So Saffron and coloured in the centre with the So Saffron SU Marker and added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter, added the sentiment in the centre to finish.

CC163 Colour Combination Challenge......
Happy Tuesday! This is the Colour Combination today, over at Splitcoaststampers, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery....
I started off with Chocolate Chip and made a 14cm square card. Then I stamped a piece of Certainly Celery with the Canvas Background stamp and the tiny flower from the Simply Said stamp set. I added some Certainly Celery DP to the bottom and pricked all along the edge on the bottom, the white taffeta ribbon was then added and all was taped to the basecard.
I cut a circle out and went around the half of it with the Corner Rounder and then ran it through my Big Shot with the Divine Swirl cuttlebug embossing folder. I added a couple of vintage brads to the corners.
Next I stamped the Swirly Flower Spray from the Simply Said stampset in Chocolate Chip on a piece of whisper white. To make the flowers I stamped the 3 flowers (one stamp) from the Three for You Punch Box and used the Punch from the Box set to punch out the flowers. I embossed them see photos below:- and added some tiny pearls. I stamped the sentiment and friend in Chocolate chip and also used the Round tab punch to cut out the word Friend. I layered this up on some more cardstock, then added some 3D foam pads.
To Emboss the flowers. Punch out the 3 flowers as shown, then leave them in the punch, squeeze the handle of the punch so that the inside come up a bit and then use an Embossing Tool to emboss in the middle and the flower creases up like a prima flower. Monica's Blog has a link to another Blog showing how to make Prima Flowers from Nestabilities - Cool idea - Pop over to Monica's Blog for details.
Hope you get to play this Tuesday,

Julies Mojo #34 Challenge
This my card I made for Julie's Mojo #34 Card layout Challenge. I thought the layout would be great for a square card. The base card is 28cm x 14cm folded at 14cm, Close to Cocoa. Then a layer of Taken with Teal, Next is Creamy Caramel, stamped with Creamy Caramel with the leaf from A Touch of Nature stamp set. I added the Butterfly on top in Close to Cocoa, the Butterfly makes a lovely background.
I added a strip of Taken with Teal and added some Jumbo Eyelets, Pewter, top and bottom. The two strips on the edge was embossed with the cuttlebug embossing folder, Distressed Stripes. I added some Kraft Taffeta Ribbon to each one. I made the circles with the nestabilities, scallop and classic circles.
The layers for the circles are:- Close to Cocoa, Taken with Teal, cut with 2 nestabilities to save card, then Very Vanilla for the centre. The leaf was stamped in Old Olive and the Butterfly in Close to Cocoa coloured in So Saffron.
The sentiment was sincere salutations stamped in Taken with Teal.
Thanks again Julie for doing these layouts every week.
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx
A Touch of Nature Card Box......Duo
Another Card and Box made this time with A Touch of Nature Stamp set.
The Card Box is the same instructions in the earlier post. I used Close to Cocoa, Regal Rose, Mellow Moss and Whisper White cardstock. For the Card, Its a half a piece of A4 cardstock in Close to Cocoa stamped with the Sanded Background stamp....
The next layer is a piece of Regal Rose 10cm x 10cm stamped with Pretty in Pink ink with the Canvas Background stamp, then I stamped in Regal Rose ink with the butterfly from the Touch of Nature stampset. I glued this layer to the base card then used the 1 3/8 circle punch to punch a hole in the the basecard and regal rose layer. Next I used the 1 3/8 circle punch and punched a hole in another piece of close to cocoa and then I went over the hole with the scallop circle punch to get the scalloped circle, which I glued to the front of the card over the hole.
I added a 1 1/4 circle in Regal Rose and pricked all around the edge, then added a Circle of Friendship image which the 1" circle punch, punches out perfectly... I added a Brass Jumbo Eyelet to the centre with the crop a dile. All this was glued to the inside of the card so it popped through the front part.....
I used a scallop circle punch out to hold back the front of the card box this time.
The two butterflies were stamped in Close to Cocoa and coloured in with the SU Markers, cut out and layered onto the whisper white which I first stamped the leaf on in Mellow Moss.
I used the corner rounder on the box and the crop a dile to make the scallops and embossed dots.
Note:- On an earlier post - Post it Notes Key Rings - I sent you over to the wrong Blog for a Video Tutorial, I have changed it now, Silly Billy....:-)

Card Box & Card Layout Mojo #33
I love Julie Mojo Layouts Challenges she does everyweek, this week I decided to play along as well. Pop over to Julies Blog
I found this cool Card Box instructions over at Paper Pleasing Blog link on the right. I used Garden Silouettes Hostess Stamp set and Perfect Plum and Pale Plum cardstock and ink.
I used the Paisley Background stamp on whisper white and a paisley embossing cuttlebug folder on the Basic Gray. I added some Grey Taffeta Ribbon and Pewter Jumbo Eyelets.
Don't forget to pop over to Paper Pleasing for full Instructions, I have to dish up tea and my Boys are calling!!!!
Card Box & Card Layout Mojo #33
Take a piece of cardstock measuring 11" x 8.5", I used Perfect Plum.
On the 11" side:-
Score at 3 1/4, 3 3/4, 8 1/4 8 3/4
Turn the piece around so you are on the 8.5" side:-
Score at 3/4, 1 1/4, 7 1/4, 7 3/4
Cut out the corner L shapes and use the corner rounder on the lid part and the side pieces.
Use double sided tape on the little tabs that go inside, stick these first. Then put a piece of each side of the front flap. Then fold up the front flap and remove the double sided tape one side at a time so you can line up the edge straight.
I used a photo holder on the front from the Hodge Podge Kit to fasten the front down when you have placed the card inside.
Hope you are all having a nice weekend,
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Heartfelt Thanks for Friendship....
These little notepads are for the Addicted ladies tomorrow! We are always looking for notepads to jot down things to remember!! We are all over 40 now, You know!:-)
I used the Heartfelt Thanks Level 3 stamp set, Lovely Lilac, Orchid Opulence and Whisper White cardstock. The note pads came from the Range. They measure 3" wide and 3/" deep, the pads were the same as the short side of a piece of A4. Therefore I cut the piece of cardstock 7 1/8" and scored first at 3 3/8", then at 3 3/4", then 4 1/4". When folding the scored lines make two slits down the centre fold and then fold the front in the correct position and you will be left with the holder for the pen or pencil.
I will try and take photos of the stages tomorrow but my camera has just eaten all the batteries we have!!!! Again!,
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx
In the Spotlight Spinner Card
This card was so quick to make! I have made a few a these Spinner cards before but I watched Monica's Video Tutorial this morning and it jogged my memory......
Pop over to Monica's Blog and watch her Tutorial......
I used Pink Passion Cardstock for the base, then a piece of designer paper from the Petals & Paisley paper pack. Then I added a 4.5cm strip to the card in the centre and stamped the sentiment in the centre. I used my stamp a ma jig to make sure I stamped the Happy Birthday straight.
Then I took a piece of Pink Passion cardstock and found the centre line and punched both ends with the 1/2 circle punch. I then used my cutter to join up the punched circle to make the groove cut out.
I stamped the Flowers from the In the Spotlight Level 2 stamp set and added the Friend stamp in the centre, which I punched out using the 1/2 circle punch. I added these to the pennies that make it slide. The first pennie is on the back of the flower then a 3D foam pad (from SU) then another pennie. You then slot the pennies in the groove and Hey! the flower SPINS along the groove when you move the card.

Mixed Bouquet in Pinks......
Woo Hoo! I have finally finished my Work, Well the part that had to go to the Accountants at least! Cor! Its been a busy few months.
I thought I would try something with the nestabilities today and show you. I placed 2 dies in the machine at the same time to cut out the white ring. This makes a thinner card and also saves card. I wanted the Regal Rose cardstock in the middle but also some white. It went through no problems. See seperate photo of how I layered them up.
The Stamp sets used were Mixed Bouquet, Canvas Background and Happy Everything. I used Regal Rose for the basecard and then Rose Red, which I stamped with Rose Red and the Canvas Background. I added a piece of Designer Paper in Rose Red and stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed it with the white embossing powder.
Some Regal Rose wide 5/8 ribbon was added around the middle and then some white taffeta ribbon......
I stamped the flower twice in Rose Red on Whisper White cardstock and then the little flower as well. I coloured in the little flower with one of the lovely SU Markers. At the bottom of the card before I added the paper I added a tiny piece of white and pricked all along the bottom.
This is the 2 nestablilities before I put the cardstock on top of them. The embossed part goes in the middle of the scallops, Do You Like?
I will try and get some stamping done tomorrow, So check back then,
Until then, Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Carte Postale Card Holder.......
I know! I know! It didn't take long for me to get back to using Chocolate Chip and Old Olive...... I saw this card holder over on Andrea Walford's Blog and I just had to try it out. I should not be doing this, but the house is quiet and I needed 5 mins of craft time - 3 Hours later though I am only just updating my Blog!!!!
This is the card Holder. As I said I used Chocolate Chip and Old Olive and Brocade Background designer papers, which are so lush!
I used the jumbo eyelets and 5/8 ribbon on the side, so you can pull it out, just the same as andrea.
I added some more paper to the inside. The cards all have the Sincere Salutations words on them, and there are 8 all assorted, some birthday, some thankyou, get well etc. I made it larger than andreas as the envelopes I wanted to use are our UK sizes not the US Size.
