Blog Candy Winner......

Well I have just finished ordering all the goodies that were ordered at my launch party, my hand has gone numb with all the number entering!!

Lets hope they come quickley!

My question for the Blog Candy was what is your favourite colour to use for christmas cards? I think you probably know mine by now!

Yes RED and GREEN!! But I also love the lilacs and blues together, with a hint of silver!!

The Random Generator picked Mary......

Mary said, I like the tradional colours, red green & white but also love lilac, blue pink and silver to go with them. Oops forgot about burgundy as well. I just like christmas in any colour.

Congratulations Mary email me with your details and when the lovely paper comes next week I will post it to you.....

Thanks for everyone who entered, I will do another Blog Candy very soon,

Jenny:-)xx

Shapes & Shadows......

These cards and gift tags were made using the 2 step stamping technique with the Shapes & Shadows stamp set.

The cardstock used is Mellow Moss and Real Red and Very Vanilla. The patterned paper is the Dashing set.

The sentiment on this card is the Sincere Salutations word set. The brads are gold and real red ones.

I layered up the middle tree on 3d foam pads and added some dazzling diamonds with the glue pen for the snowy ground under the trees.

This one is so quick and simple.... Stamped all over the real red cardstock with the outline of the tree and then stamped the trees 3 times and layered onto some mellow moss and pricked around the edge. The sentiment stamp is a Level 1 Hostess gift stamp set.

I cased these gift tags set from Andrea on SCS, such a great idea to use up scraps of cardstock, thats why I keep all my bits of odd card, especially for these sort of ideas......

The punches used : Scallop punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch and the corner rounder to make the scallop edge. The bag is a normal card protector, I got mine from the Market Gallery £2.49 for 50 or the range have some for £1.49 for 25.....

The silver cord is from the Market Gallery, I think it was 35p a metre?

The cardstock used for this one is Bashful Blue and white

I know I was meant to show you the stamp a ma jig but I forgot and gave it back to my friend janette. My one is on order and when it comes I will show you.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Heartfelt Thanks.......

All these cards are made using the Level 3 Hostess Gift stamp set.... Heartfelt Thanks

The cardstock used in all the cards are Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Regal Rose and Whisper White.

The inks are the same as well. The ribbon is the chocolate chip taffeta, this is lovely and because its on a reel it seems to go on and on. I'm going to order the pretty in pink one next!

The spiral punch was used on the rose red layer for this card.

This is a pocket card, half a sheet of cardstock folded in half and then 3cm or so folded down to form the pocket. The punches used were the scallop, 1 3/8" circle and the round tab punch.

This is the inside part for you to write on....

I made a little tag with the leftover pieces. I don't throw bits of card away I store them in a folder with 48 plastic paper protector pockets in it and put all my scraps in there in the same colour families. When you need to punch out a shape its better to use up a scrap than start a fresh sheet of cardstock.

This card is so simple, using the stamp a ma jig for the 2 step stamping of the flower to position the outline flower head perfectly. I added a pearl from the pretties set.

The spiral punch was used to edge the rose red cardstock. and the corner rounder was also used.

See how the ink matches the cardstock so well, I'm a girl that likes things to match!!

Thanks for looking, hope the light is better today to do the stamp a ma jig photos....

Wild about You.......

This is the Wild about You stamp set....

Another Z-card held back by the scallop punch, I guess you all know I like this effect! I found it when I was making the Halloween Card - see older post.

The base cardstock is Brilliant Blue and then Green Galore and also Tempting Turquiose... All in the Bold Bright colour family from Stampin Up.

The thankyou and the green flowers are from the Seeing Spots stamp set. I cuttlebugged one side with the tiny bubbles embossing folder and then added some white ribbon. The circle punch under the two flowers on the left is the 3/4" circle. The scallop punch, then the 1 3/8", then the 1 1/4" circles were used. I stamped the flowers along the inside, from the Wild about You set.

This is the Lion from the stamp set, his mane is lovely to cut out and little tiny head, so cute! I punched the circle using the Round Tab punch. The cardstock is Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip and a bit of Close of Cocoa. The patterned paper is from the Cutie Pie set.

I used the pricking tool and mat from the crafters tool kit.

This card is Pink Passion cardstock and Tempting Turquiose. Very simple and quick card. I pricked around the Pixie Pink cardstock and went over it with the white gel pen to look like stitching......

I used the stamp a ma jig to get the birdie where I wanted him to be and I masked the nose! and then used the markers to add colour to the stamp and then stamped over the nose and removed the masking tape.

Another simple card, I stamped with the Seeing Spots stamp set all over the Brilliant Blue cardstock. The ink and pink is pixie pink. The Brilliant Blue brads come in a set to match the Bold Brights perfectly.

I used the 3/16 corner rounder to make the scallop edge and one of the welcoming words a Hostess Stamp set for the sentiment.

This is Bashful Blue again and Cutie Pie patterned paper. I used the technique again with the Round Tab Punch and the scallop punch and the 2 circles punch for the Giraffi...

I added some white dots around the scallop with the white gel pen.

I will be back later with the stamp a ma jig after I have iced my sons birthday cake!!!!

Back Again..... More Polka Dot Cards....

Thanks to my lovely crafting buddies who lent me so many of their stamp set, these are more of the cards I made for my stampin up launch party.....

The stamp set is Polka Dot & Paisley again and this time the first two cards are using the Perfect Plum and the Pale Plum cardstock......I am loving these colours, they are from the Soft Subtles colour family.

The first card is called a tent topper. The base part in Perfect Plum is 20cm x 10cm folded in half. The top part is 8.5cm x 8.5cm and then smaller layers of your choice. I stamped on the white with the tall flower first in Pale Plum and went over the top with a seperate flower head stamp in Perfect Plum. I used the Stamp a ma jig to do this perfectly. I will do a tutorial on the Stamp a ma jig tomorrow.

The Pewter metal frame is from the Hodge Podge set. I used the white gel pen to colour in the white area on the paisley stamp. The pricking mat and tool is from the Crafters Tool kit....

Same colours for this card. Very simple card and by using the Stamp a ma jig to line up the flower heads, it looks like one stamp doesn't it but its actually 2 stamps.

I added some gold brads to finish off. Also the spiral punch down the right hand side.

This card is called a Kick stand design.

The cardstock and inkpads are Chocolate Chip, More Mustard and So Saffron. The ribbon is the Chocolate Chip Taffeta, good job it comes on a reel as I used tons of this on my marathon of card making last week.

The card is half a piece of A4 cardstock folded inhalf and then a section cut off. Then the part added for the bottom is 7.5cm x 7.5cm. The sentiment stamp is from the Sincere Salutations stamp set.

I love the Earth Elements colour family, I think they could be my favourite, but then theres the Soft Subtles.....Mmm not sure which ones - What is your favourite Colour Family.?

Don't forget to enter the Blog Candy you have until Friday, when I will be putting my first order to Stampin Up in..

Jenny:-)xx

Polka Dot & Paisley Cards.....

These are some of the cards I have made using the Polka Dot & Paisley Stampin Up stamp set.

This one is a pocket card but with a back on it so you can stand it up and also add an insert inside. I used one whole sheet of cardstock, Sage Shadow. This was cut in half, then taped together so you can fold one half up the front and make the pocket. The front pocket is just taped down on each side so you can make the card to slid in on the front.

The patterned paper is from the Wintergreen SU paper, doublesided like the rest of the paper packs. I stamped the paisley pattern 5 times and used my white gel pen to colour the paisley part, added a pearl to the centre of the little flower.

The circles are the 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 circle punches and I used the Seeing Spots stamp set for the words and the flower in the centre, which I had cut out and a pearl was added from the Pretties Set.

I added the ribbon before I taped down the sides.

This view is the insert, which I stamped a few times with the paisley stamp, stamping once and then again without reinking.

The card inside the pocket was cut to side of the pocket, measurements depending on your side of tape you use to close the front pocket. The roundtab punch was used so you can pull the card out with ease, and the flower is from the Seeing Spots Stampset.

I used the 1/2 circle punch and the corner rounder for the corners.

This card is showing a different way of using the round tab punch. I punched the paper and cut the card I had stamped the flower on the slid it in the roundtab punch out shape, so it just holds the image. The paper is the same the wintergreen patterned paper and the Sage Shadow cardstock.

This is a better view of the round tab punch holding the flower image. I stamped the flower in sage shadow and used the other top of the flower in the set to stamp on the patterned paper and cut this out and attached it so you can just see the flower underneath.

I have more cards using this set and I will upload them later,

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Happiest of Holidays set.....

This stamp set is called Happiest of Holidays. It has four stamps in it, but I only got around to playing with two of them.

The normal sized card is So Saffron and Bravo Burgundy cardstock. The ink pad is Bravo Burgundy. Very quite and simple card to make.

The little card is 15cm x 7.5cm folded in half. The cardstock for this one is Chocolate Chip and Bravo Burgundy and Whisper White. I used the 3/16 corner rounder on a few of the corners.

Did you know you can make a scallop edge with the corner rounder from Stampin Up, you just take off the corner guard and punch in a line to join up the scallops. I do make my scallop edges with the cloud scissors but the scallop from the punch is Diddie.... The ribbon is Chocolate Chip Taffeta, MMMMM!!!

This box is a Origami Box made from the cardstock not patterned paper. The Top is 8" x 8" in Bravo Burgundy and the Base is 7.5" x 7.5" in Chocolate Chip.

It is tough folding the folds in the card, but the box is really solid and fits a Diddie card on top. The creases show in the card on the base so I cut a seperate piece of card 6.5cm x 6.5cm and attached it to cover the creases. The little card opens up by opening the ribbon.....

I used my quickie glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds glitter to add a bit of loveliness to the top..

Jenny:-)xx

Polka Dot Zcard.......

This is the card for the inspiration sheet I did for yesterdays party....

The stamp set is Polka Dots & Paisley and Sincere Salutations. The cardstock is More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, and white. The same colours of ink pads were also used.

To do the corners I used the 1/2 circle punch and lined it up with the cross in the centre of the punch. There is a marking in the metal and allows you to line up the corner of the cardstock.

To highlight the flower in circles, I used the 1 1/4" circle punch and then the 1" circle punch, I think this technique is called Spotlighting. The ribbon used is the Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon. The card base size is half a sheet of cardstock, then this was folded in half and the front folded back onto itself to the left hand side.

I am going to make this card in lots of colour combinations and will upload it to show you the difference in colours.

Thanks for looking,

Jenny:-) xx

Sneak Peek of Stampin Up Launch Party....

Well this is a little taster of some of the cards I made for my party today. PHEW! Last Thursday I really didn't think I would get here.....

I have been making cards for 2 weeks solid, inbetween work, housework and looking after my lovely family...They think I am mad!

And After all the mega card making, I am still passionate about it. You would think I wouldn't want to see another Rubber Stamp in my life, but I just love it.

Anyway I will upload the whole table tonight.

Thanks for all your lovely comments,

Jenny:-)xx

Seeing Spots...........

Sneak Peek of what I made so far with the Seeing Spots stamp set.....

I am in love with the Whisper White cardstock. Its strange! Its inbetween a glossy cardstock and a matt. It inks up beautifully.

The cardstock is Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery and the Whisper White. The punches are the Scallop punch, 1 3/8 circle and 1 1/4 circle punches.

Have I found my Level 1 with this card?

I used the spiral punch down the edge of the wintergreen patterned paper.

This little box was made the same as the other 3x3 card box's but I put the lid on the back and the ribbon and a velcro dot holds it down. I was playing with this and forgot to stamp the cardstock. I will do a tutorial next week.

I think I am finally, nearly there with my cards for my first party, tomorrow. I will have to have a mega tidy up of my craft room over next week, as it looks like I have stood in the middle and thrown everything up in the air!!!
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-) xx

Joy Fold Mixed Bouquet.....

These piccies are a bit dark, it was black here last night, the street lights kept going out and we were without the internet for ages...

Wow! This flower cuts out like a dream. This time I used Real Red, Pretty in Pink and white cardstock. The same ink and also Certainly Celery for the leaves. The set as I said was Mixed Bouquet and Cheer & Wishes.....

I cut a sheet of Real Red cardstock in half and folded that in half. Next I took a piece of Pretty in Pink 19.5cm x 10cm and scored it at 13cm to make the fold. The next layer was Real Red 18cm x 7cm and scored at 12cm. I stamped in Pretty in Pink with the flat flower and then stamped over this in Real Red with the large flower. I stippled all over the rest in Pretty in Pink. The leaves were stamped in Certainly Celery flat part and leaf out line stamps.

I stamped and layered up another flower to 3D it. On the Pretty in Pink outside and inside part I stamped all over in same colour the little berries. I stamped a greeting on the inside.

The front fold is held back by a photo thighey in the HodgePodge kit.

This is the inside but its dark so you can't see the stamping!! I added a white insert on the inside of the actual card.

Thanks for looking, I've calmed down now, back to getting my party ready for Friday:-)

Bold Mixed Bouquet.....

I thought I would make a card with just the supplies in the Starter Kit.......apart from the black cardstock and pricking tool, everything else is in the Starter Kit. I didn't change anything in the kit.

Another Z-Card, I think you know its my favourite fold at the moment.

The Basic Black inkpad inked up brilliantly, I always use the versafine stamp pad, but the stampin up seemed to be the same.

The stamp sets are the Mixed Bouquet and Cheer & Wishes, the rubber cut like a dream. The cardstock is Bold, pixie pink, pink passion. I watercoloured the flower by squeezing the inkpad together so ink goes in the lid and then used the paintbrush to watercolour. I stamped the leaves with black and went over them with the leaf infill with Green Galore ink. I added some glitter, dazzling diamonds with my quickie glue pen.

I pricked around the edge of the pixie pink and went over it with a white gel pen.

Sorry a quick post, got to pop out.
Jenny:-)xx

Christmas Has Come Early........

Look What just came all the way from Germany!!

My Great Big Huge Massive Starter Kit........

Wow! I will be cutting Rubber Tonight!

The Catalogue look fantastic, great photos of the cards, isn't that what we need more inspiration, Right? Can't wait to ripe it all open, but thought I would photograph it first.

Check back later, because I like the Mixed Bouquet Set, I can see a card coming together.

Sorry a I'm a bit Hyper!

Shapes & Shadows......

This is what I was making while I was on the phone to you Tracey! Got a wonky neck now, with trying to talk and craft at the same time.....

This is the 2 step stamping set called Shapes & Shadows, Mmm love it:-)

The cardstock is Bashful Blue, Almost Amethyst and Whisper White. The ink is Bashful Blue and Lovely Lilac. I used the 1 1/4 circle and 1" circle punches to hold the Z-card back and pricked around the main image with the pricking tool and mat, then use the White Gel Pen to finish off the Faux Stitching.....

Same colours for this one, Do you think this is a Level 1 or Level 2? I used the Round Tab Punch for the round window, Love that cool trick, see older posts for demo.

The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations set, very useful set.

Have a good day,
Jenny:-) xx

Am I Mad............

I think I must be.......

Look what I was up making at 10 past 4am this morning....

Instead of dreaming of sheep!! I am dreaming of Rubber Stamp Sets flying through the air!!:-) I didn't have much time to stamp yesterday as my youngest was taking his Grammar Entrance Exam and it was all quite nerve racking.... So when I woke at that ungodly hour I creeped downstairs and made this.....

This is going to be one of my Door Prizes at my Stampin UP Workshops. I used Polka Dots & Paisley stamp set and the Sincere Salutations stamp set. The cardstock was chocolate chip, more mustard and so saffron, the same in the ink pads. It has 2 Diddie cards and 4 toppers you can remove and use as you wish. The accessories were 1 1/4 circle punch, 1 inch circle punch, 1/2 inch circle punch and a gold brad.

What do you think? Would this be OK for a Door Prize???

Have a great day,

Jenny:-)xx

Stampin Up Has Arrived in the UK.......Hooray!

The wait is over........... They have Arrived.
The Catalogue can be view here......
I woke up at 2.28am this morning to go and see if the catalogue was on - How mad is that.
Would you believe it that out of the 35 cards I have been making for the last 3 days solid, none of the stamp sets are in there!!!
Never mind back to work.
If you want to order anything or book a party just drop me a comment or Email Me.
Thanks for your support,
Jenny:-)
PS. At least I have loads of cards to show you all on my blog. xoxo

Fabulous Flowers CD Calendar.....

Well this is another project I have made for my Stampin Up Party.... A CD Calendar.

Can you believe it I have made 35 cards for my party and not one of the stamp sets are in the catalogue....... A Big Doh!!!!

This stamp set is not in the present catalogue but the patterned paper is so I thought I would show you as it took me all Saturday to make it!

The Cd case is a slim jewel one. The stamp set is Fabulous Flowers, with Blue Bayou and Soft Sky cardstock. Silver brads and the ticket corner punch was also used.
This is the view when you fold but the lid to stand it up on your desk, not that I would have room at the moment as it covered in craft products....

I wasn't quite sure what to put where the cd would normally go, so I used some circle nestabilities and stamp on the circles.

I added some rectangle nestabilities on the back to cover the hole.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-) xx

First Sneak Peek......

I have decided as I am concentrating on making the cards I will be showing at my Stampin Up Party, to let you have a Sneak Peek before next Friday.......

I have been working solid for 3 days now and I hope when the catalogue comes online TOMORROW Yes! Tomorrow:-) xx That the sets I have been using will be in there....

Anyway back to this card:-

The base is Pretty in Pink cardstock, 14cm square. I looped the edge off at 4cm with the cloud scissors (scallop). I stamped all over in Pretty in Pink ink with the large butterfly from the Garden Whimsey stamp set and added a white insert which I also used the cloud scissors on inside but not on the edge that shows, this I stamped with the ladybird from the same set. Arh! Love Ladybirds, they eat all the bugs off my vegetables......

Next I stamped the tulip in Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery on white card and added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. I layered this onto Certainly Celery which I pricked all round the edge and did some Faux Stitching with a white Gel pen.

I stamped the snail in Bashful Blue and Cetainly Celery and glittered them up as well. The Celery one I cut out with the 1 3/8 circle punch and added a scallop circle and the Best Friend is part of the sentiment that comes in the Garden Whimsey Set. I added a Pretty in Pink half butterfly and some gingham ribbon, card complete.

Thanks for looking,

Jenny:-) xx

Craft Club Cards....

These are the two cards I made last night at Craft Club.

We had to keep to 2 layouts, which were found on the Splitcoaststampers site, if you haven't visited this site yet, get yourself over there, the cards are amazing and there are so many wonderful ladies to help......

The first card was in Perfect Plum and Pale Plum cardstock, these are 2 beautiful colours. The stamp set is Fabulous Flowers from stampin up and the background stamp under the ribbon and vellum is Tres Chic. The background stamp on the piece running down the centre is Linen. I used the cuttlebug embossing folder script behind the main flower.

The sentiment is from the Short & Sweet stamp set.

This layout is SC98 on splitcoaststampers.
The basecard is Real Red and the papers are from the Dashing designer papers set from stampin up.

The snowflake is from the In the Spotlight Hostess Set which I punched out using the Blossum Punch. I used the spiral punch going down the angle and the word window punch to make the slot for the buckle to go through.

The other two stamps are from the Season of Joy christmas stamp set.

Well I made 7 cards yesterday, back to it again, I will put them all on the Blog after my Launch Party xxx

Have a creative day, thanks for looking,
Jenny:-) xx

Blog Candy Winner......

Wow! Thank you for all your comments you left for the Blog Candy Question.

I love embellishments on my cards, ribbon, brads, eyelets, charms, you name it. No space is left after I've raided my craft room, I do worry some times if I've over done it. I never count the cost of what I put on a card, you make a card because you think someone is special and deserves your time.

At the moment the Range has a new ribbon section and it has 3 sizes in the same ribbon designs, ranging from just 99p, a real bargain........Should not have said that!!! There won't be any left when I go, again! HEE.....

The Winner for this Blog Candy Moment is Shannon McGann congratulations, email me and I will get your Goodies off to you......

Thanks again for entering, the next Blog Candy Moment will be very soon and it will definately be something from Stampin Up to celebrate them coming to the UK......

Have a good day,

Jenny:-)xx
