Gorgeous Posies and a 24hr Stampin' Up! Extravaganza

Happy Monday Everyone....

How are you all doing?
Would you like some happy mail? Leave me a comment and I will send you a little something.

Just a reminder we have a 24hr Stampin' UP! Extravaganza sale starting at 11pm tonight for 24hrs.
Go grab yourself a bargain at jennymoors.stampinup.net

One of the stamp sets that will be in the sale will be the Gorgeous Posies stamp set.
It's used with a kit in the Annual Catalogue, but I've just used the stamp set for these cards.

One of my customers has a very special birthday on Wednesday, she will be 70 years young, so the tall card is for her hence the 70.....

I used the celebration label dies for the centre, the largest die is perfect for the larger card base.

Where do you find inspiration for your cards, I found mine this time from a box of tea bags.

Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, Just Jade, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather.

Love the font on the sentiments in this set.

The embossing folder was the Parison Flourish

I stamped then cut out the centre of this layer then ran it through the stamp and cut machine with the parisan flourish embossing folder.r

I 3d the flowers on the left for this card.

You can find all the products on my stampin' up! shop

Ornamental Envelopes

Morning Everyone,

Do you send cards with naked envelopes???
Today I used the gorgeous Gold Cards and Envelopes as my base cards, they are on page 51 from the Winter Catalogue.
There really is so much in this catalogue that its easy to miss stuff, but grab a cuppa and let's take another look before the catalogue finishes.....

So all the card bases are the decorated gold cards, they have gold foiling around the outer edge which actually matches an image in the Ornamental Envelope and die bundle.

I mixed it with Real Red and Shaded Spruce with lots of gold embossing.

The dies have envelope liners and little dies to cut out decorative sections, you can see on the envelopes here what I did with them.

For this card I stamped one of the images four times to make a pretty wreath in shaded spruce and then stamped over with the berries image.

I also  used the Nested Dies for some of the layers and sentiments.

The ornaments are one stamp and one die which cuts them all out at once, making for a quick card process.

Very simple gold embossing on this card.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas.

I used the shaded spruce stampin blends to colour in these ornaments and the stamped version of the pretty corners in shaded spruce.

I used the wreath image to make a background for the sentiment on this version.

With the matching decorative envelope, not Naked!! hee hee

Gift Wrapped Bundle

Twice in one day!  Well it is raining here so I thought you'd like to see my Birthday version
 with the Gift Wrapped Bundle.

I used the Peony Garden Designer papers for this set with a colour combination of

Petal Pink, Basic Grey and Smoky Slate.

I used the stitched shaped dies for the present, the largest square one and the strip of cardstock down the middle was also cut with the stitched shaped square as well, its 5/8" wide.

The embossing folder is a duo pack called Wrapped in Texture, two such pretty folders.

The box will be in my next Stamp Class in the Post.

The large bow was punched out with the punch in the gift wrapped bundle but the smaller bow was cut out by hand.

Gift Wrapped Boxes for Knitted Socks

Morning Everyone,

Yay! It's the weekend.

We're still in lockdown here, but we do still try and keep our weekend's different.  We are allowed to go places for exercise, so we are off to a National Trust park called Kingston Lacy this morning.
Although at this time it is raining cats and dogs!!!  Sid isn't going to like getting wet.

I've got a question for you,
Do you make handmade gifts for christmas?

We're all missing family during these times so I personally thing making someone something special will hopefully show them how much you care.
I learnt how to make socks during our first lockdown, it was calming concentrating on something new, so this year I am sending socks to my son and daughter in law in the USA who we haven't seen for a year as our trip was cancelled.

I've used the Gift Wrapped Bundle which includes a punch this time instead of dies.
I used the heart warming designer paper pack and made a box and money holder with matching cards.

Taylor loves green and Robert loves black/grey colours so I chose those colours for their socks.

Rob has size 10 feet, so I got plenty of practice knitting these socks.
The wool was Yorkshire Spinners, one ball makes a pair with plenty left over.

I used the stitched shape dies to make the square for the parcel.
The mossy meadow layer is 5/8" wide.

The boxes are 4" x 4" square.

I switched the layers up for this version of the present card.
The sentiment was punched with the banner punch.

For the green socks I used some hand dyed yarn, the colour graduates up each pair, it was hard to photo.

The bases of the boxes were switched around so they had different coloured bases.

I included a little spending money as well so I made these money wallets,
they are for dollars but pounds work in them as well.

You need a sheet of cardstock measuring

10 1/2" x 6 3/4"
Score along the 10 1/2" side at 3", 4 1/4", 5 1/2", 8 1/2"
Fold the two middle score lines in a mountain and glue them together so they are double folded.
I added a two pieces of white 6 1/2" x 2 3/4" to the insides as shown,
Add a piece of 6 1/2" x 1" designer paper to the folded front section.
then use a stapler to staple the double fold to the back forming the pocket to hold the money.

Add two pieces of designer paper to the front,
the bottom is 6 1/2" x 2 3/4" and the flap is 6 1/2" x 1 3/4"

The belly band is the piece left over when you cut the money holder from a whole sheet of cardstock,
Trim it down by wrapping it around the money holder, stamp with holly image and glue the ends together,
don't do it too tight it needs to be able to slide off easily.

Finish off with some stamped bows punched out.

Hope you enjoyed this little christmas gift idea.
What will you make this year?
