Stampin' UP! Acorny Thank You Stamp Class.....

Finally managed to get back into my Blog!  I have been locked out of it since updating to Windows 10 on my computer for some strange reason.  My hubbie worked some magic while I have been away so here I am.

We have just been away to Brussels for Stampin' UP! Onstage LIVE Event which was amazing.
More on that latering the week as we aren't allowed to show any news stuff or details until later next week.  Exciting things coming though!

Right then on with the stamp class.

We used the stamp set called Acorny Thank You with the matching acorn builder punch, Stampin' UP! really do think of everything to help with our crafting.

The designer paper is called into the woods which are just perfect for Autumn.
Haven't all the colours of the trees been amazing this year?

I used the gusset clear bags to make a little, well actually a large treat bag to match the thankful card.

The colour combination for this project is Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Tangelo Twist.

A hint of gold glimmer card was used for extra sparkle with the new gold cord for the tiny bows.

Love the acorn with NUTS ABOUT YOU sentiment, goes perfect with the monkey nuts in the treat bag.

Oh Bless just look at the tiny wooden embellishments, little leaves and on the previous card along the glitter edge, very nice sizes for cards and scrapbook pages.

We are all liking the woodland embossing folder for the embossed background.

I embossed a layer of soft suede with the embossing folder and then fussy cut out all the branches and added them in the same order to a layer of old olive before adding the layers to this gatefold card.
I know!......But I liked the look.

I punched all the bases of the acorns first and punched them out with the whole acorn side of the punch and then stamped the cups or tops of the acorns and used the punch.  I glued them together as this makes them pop in real life.  Its hard to capture that in a photo.

Anyone got any tips on taking photo's using LED lights?  I keep ending up with shadows?

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Vintage Leaves Stamp Class

Hello Everyone,

We're back from our Summer Holiday and fully back into the swing of Crafting!
The New Autumn/ Winter Catalogue went LIVE while I was away, have a look its on the left hand side.  Really is a fantastic one this year.  More on that later.

This week we used the Vintage Leaves stamp set with the matching leaflet framelits.
There is another leaf stamp set available as well the light hearted one which you can also use with the framelits.  Both lovely.
I choose two colour combinations, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive with the Early Espresso and then Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon and the Early Espresso.

The instructions are on the right hand side if you want to play along.

We had a two part Summer Holiday.  First part we went to Rome, Italy.  Thanks to Maria and Gordon who looked after Sid for us, which we really appreciated, especially as they have such a long journey to come to us down south.  Thanks a lot Maria and Gordon.

We had stayed in a hotel just 200m from the Vatican City, my goodness what a lovely place.  The Sisine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica were gorgeous.  Made even more special that our boys really enjoyed it and was appreciating how lovely the buildings and museums were.

Although trying to get a good photo of the three of them has been the bane of my life!

We visited the Colosseum on the Sunday which was a very hot day but the roads were closed to traffic so that was nice.  We had to visit the Vespa Museum which was close by as my hubbie has a Red one.  Our boys got there revenge on the photo's by making us do this!

After we came back, I did a couple days of painting our revamped conservatory while the boys (lazy devils) watched two whole days of cricket!  One was an England match in the Rosebowl in Southampton. OH the peace!

Then it was time to drop Robert back to University, so the day was spent shopping, packing and loading up our car.  After we settled him in to his new place, Hubbie, Sid and I went on a little mini fun break.

We booked a Shepherds Hut in the Three Cliffs Bay on the Gower. hee hee

So much fun, just the two of us and our doggie.

The site is on the cliff and we got to walk to the beach.  To my Surprise there were cows down there.
I LOVE COWS.  So that was really nice.

Anyway, on with the Crafting.   I only have 4 places left for my Christmas Extravaganza if you want to come along, Email me.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Gifts From The Garden Stamp Class

Hello on this Sunday Afternoon,

Not quite sure where the summer has gone but we made these a few weeks back.

Love this little stamp set, might be because of our love of growing our own veggies.  My hubbie keeps a journal of every trip to our allotment and it has given us so much information from each year of doing that hobbie together.  It always starts of with at this time last year we did......not to mention all his notes on his beloved ONIONS!!!!!

Anyway, the stamp set is called A Gift From The Garden and I used the Cottage Greetings stamp set to go with it for the sentiments.

The papers are the English garden ones delish!  So I took the colours from the papers.
Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Soft suede with a hint of melon mambo.

I quite like to give some SEEDS as presents so I came up with little Seed Booklet to hold them.

It opens up like a book as below.  It holds 6 packets of Seeds.

I used all these products and if you want to play along the instructions are on the right hand side.

Acorny Thank You Sneak Peek

Evening All,

It's been a bit wet here today, but perfect for cracking open my Autumn Catalogue PreOrder Delivery.

My catalogues go in the post tomorrow and I thought I would put a little something in with them.

I used a few new items on this Thankful card.  The stamp set is called Acorny Thank You and it has a matching punch to punch out the acorns - Yay!  Actually you will find that there are a lot of bundles in this New Catalogue, either punch or framelits.

I used a New corner punch for the middle section, which actually punches two different designs and one that punches a ribbon slot.

I saw a fantastic tip on a Convention Video we were shown, to do this technique of the spatters of glitter, see a close up here.

Drop a few drops of tombow glue and then add a few drops of water using an aquapainter, mix to water down the glue.  Then use the aquapainter to splatter it over the area you want to add glitter.

Shake over our Stampin UP Gold Fine Glitter then shake off excess.

You end up with this gorgeous sparky effect. Magic....

I used the new gold cord to tie a bow on the punched out acorn.

The paper is called Into The Woods.  The dot on the word HI was made from the gold glittercard with the cup cake punch.

Jenny:-)xx

Wild About Flowers Stamp Class....

Morning Everyone,

For this weeks stamp class we used the Wild about Flowers stamp set.

I love the font in this stamp set but we also used the sentiments in the Circle of Spring stamp set as well.

The two different colour combinations are Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron with either Delightful Dijon or Watermelon Wonder.

Lots of cutting out but after one of my ladies received a card from Carol using the Pleasant Poppies which they all wanted to make, that has retired so we used this stamp set as instead for the same effect.  For a larger version you can see the instruction in the Spring Extravaganza in 2014.

Circle Of Spring Stamp Class....

Morning Everyone,

A couple of weeks ago we used the Circle of Spring Stamp set for Class. Such a  lovely stamp set for some colouring in.

I chose three different combinations.  The one above is the Pacific Point, Tempting Turquiose and Old Olive.

Below is the Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo and Old Olive.

This one is the Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.

We used the matching framelits to cut out the wreath shape, bow and small extra flower.

I also used the triple banner punch for the paper layers and the polka dots for the embossing folder.

The gift bags were made with the new gift bag punch boards, fantastic value at £18.

The natural expressions for the wooden sentiments.

The size of the gift bag are the large ones, using a 6" tall piece of cardstock

Some of the cards we stamped directly onto the layer and didn't use the framelits.
All the colouring in was done directly with the markers.

On this one the wreath was cut out and layered up with 3d foam pads.

Gorgeous new pacific point ribbon.  Did you know the punch board punch out the holes for the ribbon as well, How Brilliant....

The sentiments are all in the stamp set as well, so not bad with the use of just one stamp set.

Jenny:-)xx
