Notably Ornate Stamp Class........

Good Morning Everyone.

Last Day of Winter Today! The sun is out here but a bit cloudy. Spring starts tomorrow....

My boys have gone back to school today. We went to the Movies last night to see the new Movie called PAUL. It was very funny. So Back to Crafting today.....

We had a Stampin Up Event on Saturday and it was amazing. It was so great to stamp with my downline. We came back to my Craft Room, had Tea and crafted some more. We did a Team Swap and they were all so fantastic. Thanks alot Girls for joining me and Being part of our Team xxx

We are back to Stamp Classes Tomorrow. We will be making some of the following, Using the Notably Ornate Stamp Set. Everything in the photo is included in the instructions.

The papers are the Love Notes Designer pack and the other stamp sets are Broadsheet Alphabet, Oval All and Artistic Etchings.

Mothers Day is coming up on the 3RD of APRIL, which is the same day as my lovely Mum's Birthday this year.....So Why not make your Mum or a Mum you know, something Hand Made this Year. Make her some flowers or a card with a Gift. One of the Cards above is both. It has a Flower Paper clip attached to it, so you can remove it and keep it for a Book Mark.

I love the Broadsheet Alphabet stamp set. You can cut them out or use the 1 3/8" circle punch to punch them out if you don't like the thought of cut out the curly sections. Its the same stamp set on the Notebook Tutorial on the previous post.
Swap around the colour of the flowers to get a different look.

Hope you all have a great day. It will take me all day to get my room back to normal after our Crafting Party!
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

On Board Journal Tutorial.....

I have always enjoyed giving notebooks as gifts to Friends and Family. Who doesn't like to make lists etc?

When I am stamping, I tend to do little drawings before making anything, so I decided to make a New Notebook for me... I thought I would show you quickly how to cover one of the On Board Journals. I am using the Art Journal on page 87.

In the previous post, I used the 5" x 5". The larger Journals are the same as the ones I covered for my downline at Convention.
You will need two sheets of 12" x 12" paper. I am using Love Notes designer paper to cover this one. I always cover the back and the front of the journals.
You will need two pieces 23.5cm x 16cm for the outside Front and Back layers.
Also two pieces 20.5cm x 14.3cm for the inside Front and Back layers.
The New Spiral punch works perfectly for making the holes to cover the binding..
First lay the front cover over the front cover and mark the centre of the first binding ring and the last binding ring with a pencil.

Use the Spiral punch upside down and line it over one of the pencil marks. Punch!
To join up the Spiral punch you will need to line up the punch over the last hole and then punch again.
You need to punch 4 times until you are near the end of the layer. For the last punch you only need to make two more holes, so line up the punch as shown below, going over two holes instead of just the last one.
Lay the cover over the Binder rings and push the paper through them as shown below.

Open up the journal.

Cut away the corners as shown. On the top and bottom ones, cut up to the journal edge going slightly over the edge. So that when you pull up the paper you won't have a bare corner. On the side one, cut the paper at a slight angle.

Add a strip of double sided sticky strip to the three sections and then starting with the top edge, pull it over the journal and push down. Rub the edge to get a nice crisp edge. Then do the bottom, keeping an eye on the spiral side, making sure the paper hasn't slipped.
Then do the last edge. The outer edges shown now be covered.

To cover the inside, Take a piece of paper (which is the left over pieces from the front layers of the 12 x 12), 20.5cm x 14.3cm.
Place the layer up to the spiral edge, make sure you have it in the centre, look at the top and bottom edge. Mark the centre of the binder rings again top and bottom ones.
Use the spiral punch again to make the holes, exactly the same way for the front of the journal.
Add double sided tape on the three sides but not the spiral side. I do this so its not too tight when you open and close the covers.
Take the covers of the tape and gently push the holes over the binder rings. Line up the layer holding it high before pushing it down, As the Sticky strip is NOT forgiving! But it will be stuck perfect once its in place.
Now do the same for the back of the Journal.
Now decorate the Journal as you wish.
I added a strip of Basic Black textured and some more of the Love Notes. The Black layer was 20cm x 7cm and the paper was 19.5cm x 5cm.
Add tape or tombow to the back of them and stick to the front of the cover.
I added some rhinestones and used the Broadsheet alphabet to do the word NOTES in Black Stazon on Very Vanilla. I did cut them out but you could use the 1 3/8" circle punch.
The sentiment in the wide oval is from the Notably Ornate stamp set, punched out using the wide oval punch. Add a Riding Hood Red scallop circle behind.
This is the finished Note Book. Ready for Work Tomorrow!!!

I sometimes do pockets on the inside but not on this one.
Hope you enjoyed this Tutorial.
I will be back tomorrow with my Notably Ornate Stamp Class which we will be making on Tuesday.
Thanks for Looking,
Jenny:-)

Fareham Training Event......

Exciting Day today....

We are off on a Girlie Day out today. Five of my Downline and I are off to a Stampin' UP Event, for a fun day with other Demonstrators and hopefully there will be some crafting along the way!

I made them all a little covered notebook. They come in two sizes and I had previously made them the larger one when we went to Convention back in November so I used the smaller one this time.

These are the other things I had been making with the Blueberry Crisp Papers. I added some Marina Mist ribbon and the paper flowers to the front.
Each one is personalized with their initials, using the Broadsheet Alphabet.

These are so easy to cover, using the spiral punch. Inside is stamped as well.

Anyway, must dash.

Jenny:-)xx

Perfect Punches.....

Don't you just love a Stamp Set that have matching punches? I love my punches, you might have noticed!

The colours are Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand for this card. The Stamp Set is still Razzle Dazzle plus the Perfect Punches Stamp Set. The designer label punch was used behind the main sentiment.
The sentiment on this tiny card was punched out using the scallop oval and layered onto the Wide Oval.
Marina Mist also goes well with some of the Bluecrisp papers. The Marina Mist Satin ribbon has stopped being stroked and used on this card. The modern label punch was used to punch out this sentiment, which was layered onto a Full Heart punched from Pacific Point.

This sentiment was trimmed down. When you stamp the happy birthday one it includes a border, so I trimmed this off and then layered it onto a Wide Oval.
The My Friend sentiment was punched out using the Designer label punch and layered onto two of more of them behind. The tiny flower was used for the back ground and also cut out for the sentiment.

I also used the Designer Label punch to decorate the bottom of the Sahara Sand layer.
Hope you all have a good day.

Razzle Dazzle Inspire........

Hello All....

Do you have days where it takes you all day to put just one card together and others where you have ideas are flowing? Well last night I was like a machine! hee hee

In the post on friday came a postcard advertising a holiday company. It was made of really thick chipboard and in a heart! I knew I just had to cover it straight away. Well I have been working on some swap cards and had the Bluecrisp papers and Razzle Dazzle stamp set out, so I decided to carry on with using the rest of that.

This is what it looked like before!
I have been refreshing my Sample Boards for my Craft Room, so I can't show you yet the rest of the cards, but this is what I did to the Heart Postcard.

I used the Broadsheet Alphabet to stamp the word Inspire and Friends. The colourway is Pacific Point and Sahara Sand. I had been using the paper flowers for the previous card, so decided to use some more. I covered both sides and added eyelets for the ribbon to thread through to hang it on my Display Boards.

I stamped and punched some more hearts using the full heart punch and popped them up at the bottom.

Talk about recycling!
Hope you have a lovely day - VAT all day for me, but once its done, I will be back.
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Razzle Dazzle Hello....

Gosh! Friday already. It's Half Term here again as well. I've been busy making some swaps for a Stampin' UP! Event next week and I was playing with the Razzle Dazzle Stamp Set. I am ashamed to say I had to mount the Stamp Set before I could play! Doh!

I made another Tri-Shutter card and Box Envelope as well as my Swap cards, and a few more bits and bobs, I can't show until after next weekend. For now I will show you this one.
We made the class in inches on Tuesday but this card is in centimetres, it is alot smaller in size. But the beauty of this size is that it will fit onto the normal A4 cardstock, but you will only get one out of a sheet unlike the 12 x 12 inch sized Tri-Shutter cards.

The sentiment is from the Hello, You Stamp set. I used the paper flowers with a mixture of flower brads and pearls.

The papers are the Bluecrisp pack which co-ordinates with the Razzle Dazzle stamp set. The cardstock is Pacific Point and Sahara Sand - I am liking the Sahara Sand alot!!!!

The sentiment was punched out using the scallop oval and layered onto a Wide Oval.

The paper flowers can be coloured, inked, stamped but I decided to keep them just as they were!

Jenny:-)xx

Cottage Garden Stamp Class......

Hello Everyone....

This is what we made for the Cottage Garden Stamp Class Today.

The papers used are called Sunny Garden which co-ordinates with the Cottage Garden Stamp Set. Last Summer the papers were available in the Rich Razzleberry colour way, so you may have purchased them when the polka dot ribbon was available as well.

The Cottage Garden stamp set didn't come in to the catalogue until October. It has a Two Step Flower, which is very easy to cut out.

One of my Ladies - Sharon asked me to do another Tri Shutter and Side Step card for this week's Class, so here it is.

We made a Box Envelope, Perfect for layered cards that are too bulky to fit into a normal envelope.

Both the Tri-Shutter and the Side Step Cards fit into this Box Envelope.

The Poppy Parade is so striking against the other colours, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz and Early Espresso.

Thanks Girls for all your laughs today, You are all such wonderful company.
Thankyou also, to Janette, Sharon and Mary for the Valentine Goodies.
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Bundle Of Love Stamp Class

This is the Project for the Bundle of Love Stamp class. I used a mixture of three stamp sets in this class.

The Banner is from the Party This Way and the letters are from the Perfect Alphabet.

The main Stamp set is Bundle of Love. The class is a mixture of boy and girl birth cards.

Plus the instructions include a 6" x 6" Mini Baby Scrapbook, Using the Nursery Suite papers and Accent Stickers. I only had one pack of each and managed to make lots of these and I still have tons left over. The stickers are more like cardstock really. The Quality is very high and not like normall stickers.
This is the Boy Version
This is the Girlie Version.

The Albums have a hidden pocket in the middle for more photo's or journaling.
