Bird on a Branch......

It was Janette's Workshop last night - Big Wave :-) Kellie liked the look of the cards in the Mini Catalogue which were made with the Bird on a Branch stamp set, so thats what we did for the Make and Take. The base card is Sage Shadow and the paper is the Day and Night paper pack - Delish! You get two sheets of printed Acetate with black dots. Stock up on this as this paper won't be available after the 30th September.

The paper layer is 5cm x 10cm. The white layer for stamping is 9cm x 6cm and the black layer is 9.5cm x 6.5cm.
First stamp the branch in the middle of the white layer but going off the edge in Black Stazon. Stamp the bird in Black stazon sitting on the branch. Stamp the flowers in Sage Shadow. You can use the Stamp a ma jig to do this and the flowers and bird will be perfect! Or just eye ball it! and it will still look great.
Tip: I found that by stamping the branch going the way in the above card, the flowers match up to the branch if you stamp them with the word Stampin up is running along the bottom of the sticker on the front of the stamp!
If you stamp the branch coming off the left hand side of the paper or like in the top card, You need to turn the flower stamp up side down so that the sticker has the word stampin up on the top and then the flowers will line up with the branch.
Hope that makes sense.
Once you have stamped the flowers, stamp all over the splatter image in sage shadow. Then you can add the sentiment in Black stazon. Pop up the layers with 3D foam pads and add to the middle of the card.
We added an insert which was decorated with the sweet serenity wheel that co-ordinates with the Bird on a Branch stamp set.
Kellie did her card in Summer Sun and it looked stunning. I will have a play with that colour today.
Hope you all have a good day,
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

I (Hearts) Hearts Appreciation Gifts.....

As promised I am back with the other bits I made last week for my lovely Tuesday Ladies for their Appreciation Gifts. I used the new stamp set I (Heart) Hearts......See I have been crafting just alot of the same thing.

The Thank You card is actually one of the Notelets in the catalogue, they come with envelopes in whisper white. The paper is the Night and Day Speciality paper.

I stamped the hearts in Pretty in Pink and then the Black dotty one in the middle. Then I stamped the leafy heart in Rose Red and stamped it again and popped it up over the top.

I added a Tiny Tag. If there's one thing you treat yourself from the Mini Catalogue Please get the Tiny Tag stamp set and Matching Jewelry Tag, You will use them over and over again and again. I made a tiny bow from the black gingham ribbon and added it using a mini glue dot.

You can see the layers better here. I layered the stamped tag onto a black one to highlight it better.
I ran the envelopes through the embossing folder and added another heart which was punched out using the Full heart punch which I believe they still have a few left!!!! Easy Peasy when there are punching to match. The heart to heart punch also matching this stamp set as well.....
I appreciate my ladies coming to me every week. We laughed so much today! and we got to have the door open for the Sun to come in - A Perfect Day! Back crafting. Thanks alot Girls.
On top of the covers of the stamp sets were some hearts to match the card. The sentiment is from the Thank You Kindly stamp set.
The cardstock is the Groom and white Satin ribbon.

I also made a topper for the other gift of shimmer paint and dauber, more hearts.

I had a Theme going on here!!!! Here they are all together.

Right then, off to clear up and then to water our seedlings at the allotment before the pigeons get to them.

Thanks for looking,

Jenny:-)xx

It's Appreciation Day Today......

Hello Everyone. It's been non stop since we came back from holiday, with one thing and another. I have been crafting but everything was for either my appreciation day, classes and the next Extravaganza Day. Plus my boys only went back to school last Tuesday and I just can't seem to concentrate properly when I can hear the xbox in the background. It's like working in a war zone hee hee!!! Also hubbie has been working at home a bit, so last Wednesday enough was enough and I shut myself in my Craft Room and got on with my jobs - It was Heaven!

Thank you so very much for the lovely emails, asking if everything was alright and Where am I? I really appreciated all of them, Thanks alot.

Right then......Today is my Appreciation Day for my Tuesday Stamp Class Ladies.

They wanted to make the Carousel Card and Box, I made for the Reading Demonstration. Plus I had enough Carousel Notes left for everyone to make one of these Carousel Note Scrapping Purses. You can find the tutorial for the purse here.

The card is two Carousel Notes joined together with two jumbo eyelets. I scored the front carousel note between 6 scallops, so the front opens nicely. Click on the photo's and you will be able to see the score line near the eyelets.
The strip of paper Tea & Crumpets is 1 3/4" x 5" along the middle. The layers on the front are 3 1/4" for cardstock and 3" for the paper. I used the markers to colour in the images from the Live Your Dream stamp set.
The instructions for the box are:-
Base - 11 3/4" x 11 3/4" piece of cardstock,
Along all four sides score at 2" & 4"
Cut away the L shape in each corner and make a tab, put together as normal.
Lid 7 7/8" x 7 7/8"
Along all four sides score at 1" & 2"
Do the same as the base.
The layers on top of the box are 3 1/2" for Cardstock, 3 1/4" for the paper layer. The flowers are from the Pretties kit.

You must pop over to Jan's Blog and see the Tutorial for this Purse, she is a very funny lady and she loves Chocolate while she crafts as well!!!!
I kept the purse very similar to Jan's as I wasn't sure if we would have enough time to complete all three projects and the places are blank to add photos etc later.
Boy! It took me ages to cut up all the cardstock and papers for these projects and trying to get all three things to match each other, Hope my ladies like them!
The Carousel Note is used for the flap of the purse, it is scored in half, paper added and then two jumbo eyelets are put on the back for the ribbon handle. Then the back was attached to the back after the paper layer was added.
The Purse itself is actually the Huge chocolate Chip Envelopes that come with the Carousel Notes adhered to a piece of chocolate chip 6 3/16" x 6" scored in half at 3" along the 6" side.
You can sort of see this section behind the middle pink layers.

Inside the envelopes are more Carousel Notes. The Totally Tabs stamp set was used to decorate and then punched out using the Round Tab Punch. This the Left...

This is the Right....

We'll do the bag in the morning, Break for Lunch and a Quick Game of Stampin Up Bingo!!!!
Then we will do the other two projects after Lunch.

The papers in the Tea & Crumpets pack go with Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, and Always Artichoke.

Yesterday did not go to plan for my Eldest!!! He was all ready to do Work Experience at the Hospital, I dropped him off there first thing looking all dapper in his shirt and tie only to find out that the Hospital wasn't expecting him and under 16's weren't allowed to work in the Post Room!!!! Not sure how the school arranged this by it wasn't a very nice experience for Him and Us. So the Co-ordinator collected him and took him to the Local Post Depot but they couldn't find him work experience there either.

He ended up helping at school until Lunch time then he came home, Poor Devil - Not a great start. He is due to go somewhere else today, Fingers Crossed that will be ok.

Check back later this afternoon and I will show you what I made for all the ladies.

Thanks for looking,

Jenny:-)xx

Colour Renovation.......So Exciting!

Hello! Hope you all had a lovely Easter. We have been away on Holiday to France for a Week. Lots happen in a week!!!! hee hee.

I am so very excited to tell you (Thanks Janette!!!!) that From 1st October Stampin UP are bringing to Us ALL an exciting New Colour Palette to play with.

What a fresh new look to our Creations. I can't wait for Rich Razzleberry, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Melon MAMBO!!!!!!!!!! WhoHoo! Makes me want to decorate.......I wonder if Dulux sell Rich Razzleberry Paint?????

The colour families are all changing as well. They will be called Brights, Neutrals, Regals, Subtles. MMMM!! Which one will be my new Favourite as at the moment I am an Earth Elements Girl? Roll on 1st October.....

Therefore, Lots of colours will be retiring, so if you have a favourite, you have until 30th September to stock up. Hope they have a boat load of Lavender Lace and Pale Plum....

We had a lovely holiday in France. Such a relaxing break, just what our Family needed. It's been a long Year so far with one thing and another but a relaxing week has recharged all our batteries.
We stayed near Compiegne just outside Paris. There is a brilliant Castle called Pierrefonds. It's where they film Merlin which is on in the Uk. They were just starting filming again on the 8th April. Unfortunately they only wanted People with LONG Hair!!!! OH! Well!
My Four Boys (Hubbie, Two Sons and Sid our Border!) thought they would try posing when I wanted to take a photo. Trying to get a proper photo of my family is a hard job!!!!
This is the Village Centre Pierrefonds, with the Castle towering over it in the back ground. There's normally a gorgeous shop open which sells cooked meats and potatoes but unfortunately it was closed on Tuesday's.

We had our Lunch here. The weather was lovely that day and believe me! It had been pouring down before hand.

I managed to get this lovely photo of my Hubbie. Finally a nice photo - Cheeky devil.

This is our Campsite La Croix du Veux Pont. It's the fifth time there! Hopefully it will be available for next Easter!!!!

It was raining so hard on Easter Sunday that we ended up watching Movies most of the day. We had a knock on the door when our host wanted to take a photo of Sid. He was famous!!! Hee Hee. We didn't quite understand why this person wanted a photo of us all but apparently it was for a competition as it was raining and the egg and spoon race was cancelled.
Well We won!!! A Happy Family on holiday Photo and Sid was picked as the Winner. Here he is, Actually he did alot of this (We all did!!!! hee hee)

Bless him! He was so good and recognised all over the campsite. He's new name is 'Is that Sid? hee hee
Well I hope to get some bits made but I am decorating my Craft Room this week and doing some Spring Cleaning.
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Mini Catalogue Goes LIVE Today!!!!!

I hope you are ready for the New Mini Catalogue - There are lots of gorgeous new products. A real variety of designs which should get your creative juices flowing!!!!

You can view the Mini Catalogue by Clicking on the picture on the top left of my blog. Or better still email me to get you very own copy sent straight to you.

It's my Mum's Birthday on Saturday and I made her this Cute Gift Bag using some of the new Sweet Pea Papers. It's a huge paper stack of 48 sheets of 12 x 12 papers. I added some of the matching Sweet Pea Felt flowers to complete the look.

The Rose Red double stitched ribbon co-ordinates so well with the papers.
Plus the New Old Olive Satin Ribbon. It's so soft that tying a bow is easy peasy with it. The flower button are from the playground button pack.

A tiny piece of paper was left over, so I used it to make a matching card. My mum has been card making alot lately, I think this is where I get it from. She too has been stamping to the early hours and her creations are beautiful. Thanks for showing me Mum x

This is another card I made for Judy who is part of my downline. She is based in Dorchester so if you live over that way, Judy is the lady to see for all your Stampin UP Supplies.
The stamp set (do I have to say it again!!!) is Vintage Vogue. The colours are Elegant Eggplant, Lavendar Lace. It's another Easel card, I just love this type of card, nearly as much as my Z fold card!!!!

Hope you all have a lovely Easter and I will back next week,
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx
