Crazy for Cupcakes Class Tomorrow.....

These are what we will be making in the morning. Three cards and a Treat Bag.....
I always normally make another few cards to show using the same Stamp Set to show what it looks like in a different colourway. This time I decided also to make some Boyish cards.
I based my cards on the Junior Vanity Paper Pack, which match Brocade Blue, Rose Red, Old Olive and So Saffron cardstock.

I stamped the cupcake and paper pieced the sections by stamping it on the patterened paper and sticking it on the original cupcake. I took out a chunk out like a BITE! using the scallop circle punch..... I used 2 punched out Stars in either corner, which I added a star to each centre by stamping the 3 stars from the Starring You stamp set onto paper and cut out by hand. I popped up the stars with foam pads. The centre strip of paper was stamped with the stars all over in So Saffron.

This is the inside with the balloons.

More Crazy for Cupcakes

This is the same Treat bag in the Class but I didn't add any ribbon for a handle.... The Base is Brocade Blue and the Junior Vanity papers. I paper pieced the cupcake again and added it to a rectangle nestie. The velcro strip was added at the bottom, so the bag can be full of goodies..... Ideal for a Birthday party bag.
The base card for this one is Rose Red, which matches the Junior Vanity papers so well, I wouldn't normally use that colour on a boy card but HEY! The stand was cut of the cupcakes this time and coloured in using the SU Markers. I added Dazzling Diamonds for the frosting. The numbers are Typeset Numbers on Page 64 and the circle Birthday greeting is from the Starring You on P75 and believe it or not but its only £11.95 for 4 stamps! The star brad is from the hodgepodge set. The whisper white panel was embossed using a forgotten Big Shot Texture plate, which sort of matches the paper.......I had put these to one side as the embossing is nothing like the cuttlebug embossing folders, but I brought a Multi Purpose Platform for my Big Shot and They now work fantastic using the TAB 1 part left down. This is whisper white cardstock......Try it if you have one.
This is the inside with a strippy blower.
This did take a little while to do but it was raining outside so ideal. The base is So Saffron, then textured whisper white using the big shot texture plate again. (Before you say it NO I am NOT going to be collecting all the texture plates - I just happen to have these!!!! Hee!)
I stamped the balloons and paper pieced them again. I stamped the stars from the Starring You stamp set in So Saffron all over and then paper pieced the large star, glitter the medium one and coloured in with So Saffron the diddie star.

I stamped the circle of friendship stamp on So Saffron paper from the Junior Vanity pack and used the circle hodge podge frame and 2 star brads to finish.

This is the inside of the star card.

Phew! What a long post and I have forgotten to do the Blog Candy - Sorry - Tomorrow definately.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Cor! Its Saturday already - Where has the week gone?

This is part of the Project for the Class on Tuesday, I will put the rest on the blog on Monday. We will be making 3 Cards and a little Gift Bag. I first saw the little Gift Bag over at Angies Blog last summer and hunted for the paper bags everywhere. I finally found them last september and I have been making lots of them, since then.

The cardstock is Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Whisper White and Sweet Always papers. The stamp set is Crazy for Cupcakes. I have made another set just for Boys in Bashful Blue, Red and So Saffron and I will put that on Monday as well. I don't have time to photo them all today as More Book work must be done before Monday - :-(

Hope you all have a nice weekend,

Blog Candy will go on Tomorrow,

Seeing Spots Chocolate Origami Box.....

Back Again with another Origami Box - Have you made one yet????

I made this box to look after CHOCOLATE!

I was telling the 'Crafty Bunch' of ladies at my workshop last Wednesday, how to make these Chocolate Thank you's, so I thought it would be lovely for them all to have one each. The Origami box came just at the right time to fit 30 Chocolates. I would probably put dividers in next time, but I am short of time today as it needs to get in the post.

The cardstock is Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. Retired Certainly Celery designer paper was used - which is still available while stocks last! The same measurements were used as in the previous Blog post.
This is the chocolate inside...
This is the side view. Certainly Celery 5/8" ribbon was used through the Jumbo eyelets.

This is the top of the box. I used the scallop border punch again to decorate the corners. All 3 circle punches were used with the Seeing Spots stamp set.

Must get this in the post now.

Thanks for looking

Jenny:-)xx

More Pocket Silhouettes......

Some more cards made with the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set but this time using Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, So Saffron and Very Vanilla cardstock. The paper is Haiku. I love these colours together, so warm and yet fresh. See the box in the middle, it was a challenge TLC203 on Splitcoast stampers site, You can see the link on the right hand side to view the Galleries of Cards - If you haven't visited before that is......
On this one I used the layout we did at Craft Club on Monday evening. The circle punches and the scallop square punch were used to pop up the Pocket Silhouettes in So Saffron. Two earth element brads were added to the scallop square and some Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon for the middle.
For this simple card, I used a rectangle nestability die to emboss the frame. I use the Big Shot for my nesties, so don't cut it, just use your mats to emboss it. The base is So Saffron, then the Haiku paper, then the Very Vanill layer. I stamped the Pocket Silhouttes in the middle of the frame and a hodge podge frame was added over the sentiment which is So Saffron card, but stamped in Pumpkin Pie.
This is the inside of the card.
Another one made with the Scallop Square Punch. The base is More Mustard, Haiku paper and Old Olive, So Saffron and Very Vanilla for the scallop squares.

More Pocket Silhouettes.........

This is the inside of the above card.
This is the cover Origami Box. You can download a PDF form on the Splitcoaststampers site. Type in TLC203 to show all the boxes made for this challenge. I used Haiku paper pack for this box. The pocket silhouettes were stamped at the bottom and the felt flowers were dotted along the tops, with rhinestones in the centres. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Happy Everything Stamp set, stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive.

Can you see the corners of the layers on the top and the corners of the box itself?
I did this using the SCALLOP Border Punch, by putting the corners in the straight punch. It cuts 2 scallops and 2 little nicks!!! Makes another corner for a change.
This is the side view. The base is one whole sheet of 12 x 12 folded in the origami way. Then the top is the White piece of card that comes with the Stampin Up paper packs, cut at 5 1/4" x 12". Then I covered both sides with Haiku paper. I scored the covered card at 4 7/8" from either end to wrap it around the base box.
The box is very sturdy, and also its a very good size for a gift. I have a person in mind for this but until I decide what to put in it, I will add a image on the inside.

Hope you get to have a play,

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Pocket Silhouettes Class Today.....

I can't quite believe it - This is my 500th Blog Post.......TIME FOR BLOG CANDY I think!!!! Check back tomorrow.....

This was the project we made in todays Pocket Silhouette Class...

Its a cute little bag containing 3 cards and envelopes. The stamp set is Pocket Silhouettes, with Close to Cocoa, Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cardstock.
This card uses Creamy Caramel cardstock for the centre image, where the silhouettes were stamped in Creamy Caramel and Taken with Teal. The square scallop punch was used to Spotlight one of the silhouettes in Taken with Teal.... A layer of Close to Cocoa was added, then some Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon and a ribbon hodge podge, then a knot to finish it off! Add all this to a Taken with Teal base card.
The base card is Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip designer paper is used on this card. Again the scallop square punch was used to pop up the sprays of flowers and the sentiment was added directly to the card. The scallop edge border punch was used down just one side on the Taken with Teal layer.
The base card is Chocolate Chip and then a layer of Very Vanilla, which was cuttlebugged with the tiny mosiacs embossing folder. Before adding the layer, add a strip of chocolate chip ribbon flat. Add the sentiment on the bottom of the Very Vanilla, remember to leave a section blank when you cuttlebug the cardstock. Four scallop squares are added with pop up foam pads, the leaves were stamped in Creamy Caramel and Chocolate Chip.

The bag is made from one whole sheet of A4 Close to Cocoa. Take the sheet of A4 with the short side running along the top, Score at 7/8", down either side. Turn the A4 cardstock with the longest side running along the top of the cutter, Score at 5 1/4" From each end. To make the handles, use the 1" circle punch to take out half a circle. There is a mark on the back of the punch where the half the circle line is. To make the scallop handles, first punch some Taken with Teal card with the 1" circle punch and then go over the hole with the scallop circle punch. I used 4 of these to make the handles. Add a layer of Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip and designer paper. The ribbon was added as a stay put knot using two holes, with an extra strip of ribbon to go from the back on the second hole. Add the 3 Scallop squares to finish.

Check back later for more Pocket Silhouette cards,

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Botancial Blooms - Sale A Bration FREE Stamp Set

Good Morning! When we went away for New Year, we visited Buckfast Abbey in Buckfastleigh in Devon. Its a really fantastic specimum of an Abbey and is very quiet and peaceful. They have a beautiful herb garden, which is on a list of must do this year! I always go in the Gift shop and look for craft ideas when I go to these sorts of places and the Gift shop at Buckfast Abbey is jam packed with lovely goodies. These days I try and reproduce something I have seen instead of actually buying it. I saw some notecards in a box with a sliding lid, and tissue paper - so Hey! Thats where I got the Idea for today project......The FREE stamp set Botancial Blooms reminded me of the Herb Garden for some reason. The Gift box holds 4 Thank You cards and 4 Envelopes. I used Greaseproof paper (cooking sort!) for the inside which wraps the cards up lovely!
Two of the cards are like this one. They are all 12cm x 12cm square, which is a nice size actually. The base is Sage Shadow stamped with the leaf in the same ink all around the edges. Then a layer of Lavendar Lace, textured, Sage Shadow, textured and finally Whisper White. I used the Stamp a Ma Jig to position the flowers and leaves together which was actually very relaxing to do. The Thank you was stamped in Stazon Black which is from the Wonderful Words Stamp set. I used the pricking mat and tool to make a square on the inside of the image. Then I ran the outside over my ink pad to give the edges a bit of colour.
I added some whisper white for the inside and stamped again in Lavendar Lace and Sage Shadow.
The other 2 cards are like this one. The base is Lavendar Lace and I stamped around the edge with the flower and outline flower head in Lavendar Lace. I added a 4cm strip of Sage Shadow textured card, that I stamped with the leaf and the word sentiment. The next layers are very similiar to the other card, but instead of the sentiment I added the ribbon through 2 eyelets

Botanical Blooms - Sale A Bration FREE Stamp Set

This shows the gift box closed. The box is 13.5cm x 13.5cm square, as I made it to fit my only square envelopes, which are 13cm square. Not sure where I got the square envelopes from but they are not Stampin Up. The cards are 12cm x 12cm square.

For the decorated top part, the layers are 13.5cm x 13.5cm and 2cm up each side, I had to join to pieces of cardstock together for the cover/lid. The cardstock is lavendar Lace but the textured cardstock MMM! MMM! The next layer is 12cm x 12cm, also Lavendar Lace but the normal A4 cardstock, I stamped it with the flowers in the same ink, all around the outside edge. The next layer is Sage Shadow 10.5cm x 10.5cm normal, then a layer of Sage Shadow textured, 10cm x 10cm, which I stamped with the leaf stamp in the same ink. Black eylets were added in each corner.
The next layer is 7cm x 7cm Lavendar Lace textured, then 6.5cm x 6.5cm Sage Shadow textured. The whisper white layer is 6cm x 6cm stamped with the flowers and leaves in Lavendar Lace and Sage Shadow using the Stamp A Ma Jig. I used the pricking mat to prick a square after I stamped. The Small Lavendar Lace layer was added then the Black Gingham ribbon was wrapped around the layers and tied in a bow. The last 2 layers were popped up with 3D foam pads - Dimensionals.....
The lid slides off, to reveal the cards and envelopes inside.
I made a Friendship card to go with the gift, using the same colours.

I stamped on the inside as well. I love doing the inside as then I know the card is complete and ready to write in. I hate going to my box of cards and then having to fiddle with it before I can get it sent.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

One Of A Kind - Surprise Pop UP Card.....

This card is called a Surprise Pop Up card, I like it better when I attach it to a normal card, as I like my cards to be able to stand up most of the time.... The stamp set is the Fantasti - One of A Kind which works so well with the Boho Blossum punch. You stamp the 3 flowers which is one stamp (so no lining up) and then you use the punch to cut out the 3 flowers.....How Quick is that.
This shows what the card does when you pull on the ribbon. I used Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Sweet Always paper and some Oval nesties. You can see a brilliant Video Tutorial over at Dawns Stamping Thoughts - All her Videos are just so easy to follow - Thanks Dawn.
A side view shows the folds better. I was asked to do a Project a Magazine called Craft Stamper and I used this stamp set and punch for the Project. You can see the finished project in next months issue - 6th February. Its a nice magazine with lots of different styles and You get a FREE Stamp each month as well!!!!
For the large flower, I love to colour it in and then go over it with the white gel pen and add some spots. I used the Markers for the colouring in.

Anyway Must run as my Bed is calling me!

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Polka Dot Flowers......FREE Stamp Set Available

I made this card yesterday when I was supposed to be ironing! The iron board was up but I was using it to make this card instead.....
The flower is from the Polka Dot Punch Sale A Bration Free Stamp set which is available for you to get FREE with an order of £45....Offer is on until 28th February - There are 4 sets available.

The card is 12cm x 12cm square. The base card is Perfect Plum, which I stamped with the Polka Dot Background stamp also in Perfect Plum. I added a layer of Pale Plum embossed with distressed stripes cuttlebug folder.

I stamped 5 flowers in Perfect Plum and 5 flowers also using Perfect Plum ink but on Pale Plum cardstock. I cut them out by hand but this flower matches the 1 1/4" circle punch as well. The flowers were added to a couple of circle nesties..... The white layer is embossed with Swiss Dots. The sentiment in the middle is from the Best Yet stamped in Perfect Plum on whisper white and punched out with the 1 1/4" circle punch then layered on a 1 3/8" circle....
This is the inside of the card which is decorated with the same flower.
I popped up all the Perfect Plum flowers on a foam pad and added a pearl to each centre, which are the white papermania ones from the Market Gallery.

Check back later for the Surprise Pop Up card,
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Happy New Year! Stampers........

I finally was able to Break Open the Door to my Craft Room yesterday! Cor! Was it cold in there..... I sat at my Desk and thought Oh My Goodness! I have forgotten How to Craft! Hee! Hee! After Stamping all day, My Love of Stamping came back to me.

It was my turn to do a Demonstration at Craft Club last night, so the SALE A BRATION Promotion has just started, so I decided to use a few of these FREE Stamp Sets.

Everyone made one of the above Cards using the Heart from the Polka Dot Punches FREE SALE A BRATION set. I loved how the Heart embossed with the silver embossing powder from Stampin Up - which is very fine. I also pricked the dots on another card, but forgot to photograph that one, will do it later.

The base cards are Real Red, for the girlie cards, Regal Rose was used. The dotty paper is from Sweet Always and on the Valentine Male one is from the Hostess Paper Packs.
This is the Male card using the Real Red Pattern Pack papers. I used 2 embossed Red Hearts popped up with foam pads.
I used the nesties Label One dies for this card, and layered the Regal Rose heart on some Real Red cardstock. The wonderful word LOVE was added to the bottom and a Circle of Friendship, just above, punched out using the 1" and then layered on 1 1/4" Real Red circle. The embossed hearts are a cuttlebug embossing folder Heart Blocks....
I have seen on lots of Blogs people decorating the inside of the cards. I normally at an insert but I really like this idea, plus the card is complete before I add it to my box!!!!!

This is really an Anniversary card! I used the FREE SALE A BRATION set CONGRATS! This set has some lovely sayings to go with the long CONGRATULATIONS word. Inside the card its says - On another year of Happy Togetherness!

I hope I will be able to update my blog more later,
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx
