The Colour Challenge is Rose Red, Taken with Teal, So Saffron & Whisper white....

My base card is Rose Red, A4 piece cut in half lengthways. The paper is from the Petals & paisley pack. I used the corner rounder punch on the bottom to make the scallops. I stamped the 3 flowers from Shapes & Shadows stamp set in all 3 colours and cut them out and added a rhinestone brad in their centres...

The rest of the layers is Rose Red and Whisper white. I stamped the Birthday wishes from the Sincere Salutations stamp set.

I can't believe Beates Challenges have nearly reached 50! These really do help to get you stamping, as I'm sure most of my free time just lately has been used up Blogging not actually making cards...So go on Have a go :-)

New Weekly Colour Challenges on 'In Love with Stamping'

Cor! Loads of Challenges used for this card.

Over at In Love with Stamping our new UK Version of Splitcoaststampers! They are doing weekly Colour Challenges, now we get to do 2 lots.....

I also wanted to have a go at Beates Tutorial she did this week, the GRID Technique, so I did that as well on this card.

Also Used one of the sets that are included on Stampin' Up's Special Offer this month Close as a Memory and Joy Wheel.

The challenge ILWSC1 was to use Brocade Blue, Only Orange, Apricot Appeal....These are not my sort of colours I like to use but hey! I wanted to play along with the VERY FIRST Challenges and also the colours do actually go well together, Might need my sun glasses to look at it after a while but anyway......

This is a square card, Brocade Blue 14cm x 14 cm (Got to give measurements for Mary!)

I stamped the Canvas Background stamp on the left hand side and went down the part that was left with the JOY stampin around wheel all in Brocade Blue. I added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds to the flowers.

Next I took a piece of whisper white 9cm x 9cm and used my scor pal to do the grid embossed lines, you can use a cutter with a scoring blade to do this as well if you don't have a scor pal....

Next I inked up the Canvas Background stampe with Apricot Appeal and place the scored piece of whisper white on the stamp and ran my fingers all over it to get the patchy effect (just like Beate says...) Then I took my mens shaving brush and went all over it with Apricot Appeal and Only Orange around the edge. I layered this on to a piece of Apricot Appeal 9.5cm x 9.5cm and pricked all around the edges. I stamped the flowers in Only Orange from the Close as a Memory stampset, twice without reinking.

I added some Brocade Blue wide ribbon and a Oval from the Hodge Podge set, with Cherish stamped in Brocade Blue from the Welcoming Words stampset - a Level 1 Hostess Set. I added a piece of Only Orange 6cm x 12cm which I embossed with the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder.

There you go my first In Love with Stamping Challenge complete - Roll on the next one.

Hope you all have a good weekend, Don't know where this week has gone!

The rest of the Roses in Winter Demo Cards.....

These are the rest of the cards which are on my Demo Board. The cardstock used was Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow, Rose Red and Whisper White. The stamp sets are Roses in Winter, Canvas Background, En Francais, Cheerful Wishes. The corner Rounder and cutter kit, the distressing tool and rich regals brads.
Also Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon was used.

I promise I will use a different stamp set next, Sorry but I have just loved stamping with this stamp set! Hee!

Haven't seen the rat back since we and the neighbours took away the bird food but last night I went out the garden and SID was over an ADDER!!!! Again! I luckily got him away, The Adder was rising up and hissing. They are beautiful looking snakes but I don't want it in my garden :-(

Then if that wasn't enough when we went to the allotment, we found a Bees Nest in our newly dug veg patch! So no planting in that part yet? Got to protect the Bees.
My boys said I am being terrorised by Wild Animals!!! hee!

Anyway a busy few days coming up but hope to be back soon,

Pocket Card for Workshop Demo's.......

This is the card I will be demonstrating at my Workshops this week. Its a pocket card with a difference, I make it with one piece of cardstock. I used double sided tape to connect them together so you can add an insert to write on.....

The cardstock is Sage Shadow, Regal Rose, whisper white. The whisper white was stamped with the Roses in Winter stamp set with Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Sage Shadow in that order...
I still included the front pocket as normal. The round tab punch was used to pull out the insert with 2 Rich Regal brads.
You can just see the insert which I stamped on the inside, Love inserts....

Workshop Demo Cards forhis Week........

I finally finished this Demo Board for my workshops. All the cards are made using Roses in Winter stampset. The colour scheme, I used is Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow and Whisper White. The same colour inkpads are the same. I stamped one sheet of A4 with the stampset using the 2 step stamping technique. I made all these cards using just that one sheet of stamped images.
This is what the sheet looked like before I divided it up.

I will show the cards individually tomorrow,

Seeing Spots for Julies Mojo Challenge

It was Julies Weekly Mojo Challenge yesterday, but I haven't been able to get my Craft Room since Friday. I thought I would make a quick 10 minute card and use her sketch for inspiration.....

The base cardstock is Bashful Blue, then some whisper white stamped all over with the Seeing Spots stampset with Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery ink. I am trying to keep to just the one stampset as I am doing some inspiration sheets to go with the Stamp sets... Email me if you want to buy some....

I stamped the circle with the flower in the centre twice in Bashful Blue and added some Bashful Blue taffeta and gingham ribbon before adding the scallop circle and sentiment which are all in the Seeing Spots stamp set.

Look who wanted to get in the picture as well.

I hope to get some more stamping done but I am so behind again with my Work!

I have been getting up at 5.45 but unfortunately its not to stamp or blog, My eldest Son has got himself a Paper Round and I've been helping him find his way around the roads and work out a quick route. Cor! Do I know I have a bottom this morning! Cycling up and down the streets, its like an early morning Exercise Regime! My DH did say he would help but he has suddenly got a bad back!!!!! Hee! Got to help your kiddies haven't you, I am so proud of him, hes only just 13. Bless him.

Anyway, Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Roses in Winter for Beates #46 Weekend Challenge

Beate's Weekend Challenge is on her blog already, This is what I came up with to play. I think you are going to get sick off me soon, as I think this set is going to be one of my favourites. I just find the 2 step stamping so very relaxing and also the results can be so very different every time. I am working my way through all the Family Colours of Stampin' Up and Barely Banana is one I haven't used so here it is....

The base card is Mellow Moss, then Barely Banana stamped with same ink with the Canvas Background stamp and the little flower in the Roses in Winter set. The actual inkpad looks like orange until you stamp with it, I thought I had picked up the wrong inkpad. The reinker for this Barely Banana is Orange looking as well!!!

To do the Roses, this time I first stamped in Barely Banana, then Pretty in Pink with the next 2 sizes. The centre actually looks like Regal Rose but its not its the Pretty in Pink. The leaves are Mellow Moss stamped off once.
I used the corner rounder for the borders and Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon.

I stamped an envelope and an insert to finish the card.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

A Wheel Deal for May......

These are a couple of cards, using the Petals wheel. As you can see by the Special Offer on my Sidebar Stampin' Up has a Fantastic Special Offer on this month. If you buy one of the Qualifying Stampsets you can buy the matching wheel half price.......WoW! I am also doing my monthly Special Offer to go with this offer - If you buy one of the Wheel Bundles I will sell you the wheel handle for half price.......

These are using the Polka Dots & Paisley stampset wheel bundle. The cardstock is Real Red, Old Olive and Whisper white.
This one is using Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper white. Also I used the canvas background stamp and went over it with the wheel in Real Red. I haven't brought many of the cartridges to go in the wheel handle, I just use the inkpads and roll them straight on the ink. I only really use the cartridge if I am making some wrapping paper or using them on 12 x 12 cardstock.
A Diddie card, just using up some bits & bobs.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx
