Polka Dot Flower - Tent Topper....

I love this Polka Dot & Paisley stampset and a few of my craft buddies have purchased this set, so I thought I would show you what I make with it.....

This is the first time I have used Cameo Coral cardstock. Shock Horror!

The base card is Chocolate Chip 10.5cm x 21cm folded in half. I knew I wanted to make a Tent Topper, so thats why the base card is smaller than the normal 14 x 14 square so that when I finished the card I know it would fit into a normal envelope.

First of all I stamped the paisley in Chocolate Chip on Cameo Coral cardstock and then went around the middle with a white gel pen. I then cut out the 6 paisley shapes. I made a 3" scalloped circle - See next photos to show you how...

I used dimensional 3D foam pads to arrange them onto the scallop circle in a flower shape and then used the 1 3/8 circle and 1 1/4 circle punches for the centre. The flower is from the Seeing Spots stamp set.

I cuttlebugged a piece of Cameo Coral 10cm x 10cm and left a section at the bottom free and pricked that with the mat & tool from the Crafters Tool Kit.

I stamped another piece of Cameo Coral with the spots background in the Polka Dot & Paisely stampset and added an Oval Frame from the Hodge Podge set. The ribbon is threaded first and then the brads went all the way through the cardstock. The ribbon is Chocolate Chip Taffeta...

The sentiment is from the Occasional Greetings stamp set. Card finished......

To make a scallop circle with the SU corner rounder is so easy peasy......

Cut a circle any size of your choice, I used a 3" circle punch. Take the guard off the corner rounder and punch used the straight edge of the punch as a guide. As per this photo.....

So after punching once line up the corner rounder again and making sure you can see the edge of the one before and then punch....

Continue like this taking out the piece of cut card each time or you can't see where you are punching...

Until the last punch centre the punch within the last gap and punch. If there is a little notch where you haven't quite married it up correctly just nip it off with the scissors....

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-) xx

This card is lovely and the colours go splendidly together (I saw it today). Jenny showed us again how to make a scalloped edge on the 3 inch punched circle, she also tried it on a 2 inch punched circle and an Oval as well. All worked out great. Thank you Jenny for that, your a star.
