Embossed Dots using the Crop a Dile....

Can't believe its the last day of 2007!

We have just been to the beach for a walk, which was lovely. The sea was so calm.

I was playing with the Crop a Dile last night and found that the embossed dots fit perfectly in the scallop circle punch! Yeah! The scallop circle has so many different ways of decorating it, if theres one punch I use alot its the scallop circle.

I used Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Ruby Red and Very Vanilla cardstock for this card. The base is half a sheet of A4 folded in half in the Old Olive.

I stamped some more Old Olive with the same ink in the Canvas Background stamp and went over with the leaf stamp from the Carte Postale stamp set. I used the 1/2 circle punch to take off the corners and mounted it onto some Chocolate Chip. I used the Crop a Dile to punch the embossed circles on each corner instead of brads or eyelets.

Next I stamped all over a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in Ruby Red with the flower spray in the Carte Postale stamp set and layered this onto some Ruby Red. I used the 3/16 corner rounder punch with the guard removed to make the scallop edge on another strip of Ruby Red and embossed the dots in the scallops. I added some Chocolate Chip Taffeta ribbon and then stamped the sentiment from the Cheerful Wishes stamp set in Chocolate Chip. Then pricked all around the edge with the pricking tool & mat set from the Crafters Tool Kit.

I punched out a scallop circle in Chocolate Chip and used the Crop a Dile to emboss the dots in edge scallop. The ribbon holder is from the Hodgepodge set. The flower was stamped in Ruby Red on Very Vanilla and punched out using the 1 1/4 circle punch, then layered on a 1 3/8 circle in Ruby Red. A fire circle brad was added.

This shows the corner embossed dots.

Very pretty! I like embossed corners.
It could come in handy when you dont have the right brad.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Happy New Year!!
