Deer Scene....

Another Christmas Card, I might be ahead this year with my christmas cards....
This is a tall Z card. I cut a piece of Night of Navy card in half and then folded that in half and folded the front back.
I stamped the Deer Scene in Night of Navy on white. When it was dry, I ran my versamark pad all over it and embossed it with glitter embossing powder. The photo was hard to get this to show. I edged in night of navy and then silver cardstock.
I ran some white through the big shot with my snowflake embossing folder and added some navy ribbon. All Done!
Hope you have a great day,
Jenny:-) xx

Pop Up Santa Card.....

I started off by stamping this Santa Image loads of time in all sorts of colours.....He's lovely don't you think, a proper Father Christmas....

The stamp is by Rubber Stampede.

For this card, I stamped in Night of Navy on shimmery white cardstock. I layered this on some navy from craftworkcards and some silver.

Then I went to find some more navy and OH! No! I only had a small amount left. Then I remembered see a card at my friend Tracey's House last year where she had cased an idea from a card she saw at a Craft Show. So I thought I would have a go as I was short of the navy.

So I used the navy for the spine of the card and folded it as shown in later photos. You can see the finished inside of the card on this photo.

This is a view of looking down on the inside of the card. Shows up the folds much better.

Have a quick go, its great for leftover bits of cardstock.

Have a great day,
Jenny:-)xx
First take a piece of card, I used metallic Navy from craftwork cards, 14cm x 14.7cm. I scored this at 4.5cm, 7cm, and 9.5cm.

Fold along the score lines so you end up with the mountain on the inside.

Take a 2 pieces of white cardstock 10.8cm x 14.7cm and attach them to the inside as shown in the next two photo's...

You can see I how I attached the card, with 2 pieces of double sided tape. If you are using Vellum as I did (snowflake vellum) I attached this ontop of the front white card before I attached the navy edge.

This is what you should end up with, a white card edged in navy but with the pop up part on the inside.
After you have made the actual card, mat and layer your sentiment how you wish.

I took a piece of navy, silver, then navy again and layered a piece of white which I had stamped a greeting on. I also cuttlebugged this with the snowflake embossing folder....

I attached this to the fold in the centre of the card and added a few glittery snowflakes.

This is the view looking down on the card when it is standing up.

I added a peel off on the inside of snowflakes just to finish, but you could stamp all over the inside.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-) xx

Another Santa....

Another Santa card.
The base card is gold craftworkcard stock folded in the gatefold design. I added a piece of each side that I embossed with the snowflake cuttlebug folder. Some gold ribbon was added.
The rubber stampede Santa was stamped in gold encore ink on shimmery white card and layered on some more gold.
The Merry Christmas image is from a Hostess Set from Stampin Up. This was stamped in gold on gold card and cut out using the designer label punch. I stamped it again on the white and cut out the circle and also the centre in gold. A huge brad was added. Just an insert and the card was complete.
I have done another Tutorial for tomorrow, so check back then.
If you haven't added a comment for the Blog Candy you have until tomorrow at 9am.

Santa Gate Fold.....

This Father Christmas is a real favourite...

Its a Rubber Stampede stamp, which I stamped in Encore copper ink on shimmery white cardstock.

The metallic cardstock is from craftworkcards, gold and bronze. I used the Stampin Up Baroque swirl stamp in Encore bronze ink and embossed it with copper embossing powder.

The base card is A5 folded into a gatefold design.

The Father Christmas was layered on a few layers of the gold and copper card. I used the ticket corner punch on the corners and added some gold brads.

Foam pads were only added to the left hand side of the stamped image so the card can open in the middle...

I added an insert and stamped the hero art stamp Wishing you a joyous christmas and a happy new year stamp in copper encore ink.

Hope you have a good day,
Jenny:-) xx

Beates Weekend Challenge #25

I have finished all my work for now and finally caught up with my washing so I decided to work with Beate's Challenge. Take a look at Beate's Blog, she does the most amazing cards.....

This card had to be in the Z Fold design. I took a piece of A4 and cut it in half length ways. This was then folded in half and then the front was folded back to the left hand side. The other photo shows this better. The card stands up so well with this fold.

The base card was black. I used the beautiful swirl stamp from Baroque Motifs to stamp in versamark and embossed with black powder on both sides on the left and right.
I stamped the images from Home is where the Haunt Is stamp set on white card. I sponged all over with more mustard and pumpkin pie ink. I layered this on some black and then some pumpkin pie cardstock.
Before I taped this to the left handside of the card I added some ribbon.

For the witch, this holds the card closed.

I punched a 2" circle in pumpkin pie card. Then a scallop in black, next was a 1 3/8 circle in pumpkin pie. I stamped the moon in pumpkin pie on white and over stamped with the witch in black. This was punched out with the 1 1/4 circle punch. The 2" was taped to the back of the card, then the rest of the layers were lifted up by a double foam pad for the height, to be able to slip the front of the card behind.

The sentiment is a penny black stamp, on white card, sponged with pumpkin pie and the tree was in more mustard. I used the corner rounder to finish the corners of on the card.

I really love the Earth Elements colours.

Don't forget to add your comment to enter the Blog Candy on the previous post.

Have a great weekend,

Want to see a Cool Trick.....

I found this on a link of Sarah's Blog yesterday and just had to have a go...

This shows you how to make a 2" circle from the Round Tab Punch (SU), how very clever!

Firstly, offer the punch to where you want the circle to be and punch out the round tab.

As shown here...

Then turn the cardstock and offer the punch over the opposite side to complete the circle, just line up the tiny straight edges of the round tab punch.

This is what you end up with. The punched out pieces show you what you cut out and the completed 2" circle.

What a cool idea!!

Noble Deer Buckle Card....

Its my Dad's Birthday and he wanted a book token to buy some more walking maps, so I made this card to hold the gift card from WHSmith....

Its a Buckle card, I took a piece of chocolate chip cardstock 14cm x 22cm and scored it at 12cm to leave an edge. I used the word window punch to punch out two holes for the buckle to go through. The stamp set is Noble Deer, hope this will be in the UK catalogue! I stamped the large image on very vanilla in chocolate chip ink and stippled over with always artichoke. I layered this onto always artichoke cardstock as well.

Inside the card I added some creamy caramel cardstock and stamped the tree line image in chocolate chip, I lined it up with the image on the front, so it looks like a contined line of
trees.

I added some more chocolate chip card 5cm x 11.8cm but only used double sided tape on 3 sides so I can slip the giftcard inside.

I cut a piece of always artichoke 4cm x 18cm and glued this to the chocolate chip, I stamped the family of deer in chocolate chip also. So cute!!

This shows the gift card inside the pocket.....

On the front I added a sentiment of best wishes stamped on the large oval punch and mounted this to a chocolate chip designer label punched out, with 3 brads added I added some foam pads to layer this up. I stamped the fern in always artichoke behind this first.

Have a lovely evening,
Jenny:-)xx

Booglie Eyes Waterfall Card....

Just using up the rest of the characters that I had coloured in on Monday. I followed the instructions for the waterfall measurements found in the resources sections of splitcoaststampers.

I cuttlebugged half of the eleghant eggplant with the spots and dots embossing folder. I folded it in half but left a couple of cm's on the right as I wanted to use the slit punch to hold the card shut. The other card was only orange and green galore. I added a tab to pull the waterfall, made with the roundtab punch and also added a couple of green brads from stampin up......

The sentiment down the side is from the woodware clear stamp set, wizardy and the other one inside the card is from penny black.

Hope you have a good day,
Jenny:-)xx

Upside Down Joy Card.......

Gosh! This took me an absolute age to complete....

I had already stamped and coloured the Booglie Eyes characters, they were left over from the Shadow Box, but even so this card took far too long and I made such a mess!! I didn't have an idea when I started and I think that was the problem and I was trying to do it in between work, doing tea and ironing!! Busy Week.....

The measurements are as follows but hold it all together before you glue it so you are sure where all the layers go as I wanted the card to stand up so I added a back...

I started off with Elegant Eggplant 11cm x 28 cm folded in half. Then Basic Black 11cm x 23cm scored and folded at 14cm this forms the piece that folds up from the bottom.
Then Only Orange 10cm x 23cm scored and folded at 13cm so this is the piece that folds down from the top.

I glued the eggplant to the black, ie so the short part came up the front of the eggplant see a side photo further down to check the look. Then I layed the black fold down away from the eggplant and glued the only orange after I stamped it with Linen background stamp in Only Orange. Again the other photos explain this much better.

I attached the spotty paper to the front of the black layer, which is out of a DCWV stack retro. I added some ribbon which I taped at the back so it doesn't move about. I added the witch which was cut out using the 2 circle punches. This I mounted using some foam pads so you can stick the top front fold just under it and open when you like.

I decorated the front by stamping the tree and sun from a clear woodware set, which is christmas!! I cut a circle in the black and added the characters. I layered this to some more eggplant and pricked the edges.

You can see in this photo how the orange layer goes over the black fold at the bottom.

This shows whats inside when you open the front folds. Maybe a bit plain but I was fed up with cutting out . Hee Hee!!

This view probably shows all the layers much better. I am going to add an insert to the eggplant as well.

The cobwebs are from the Wizardry Woodware set.

Any queries just let me know and I will fill you in.

Have a great day,
Jenny:-) xx

Booglie Eyes Shadow Card.....

This is my first Shadow Box card, you can find the very clear instructions on splitcoaststampers in the resources section....

I started by cutting one piece of white and one piece of sliny black card 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I scored on both pieces of cardstock at 1/4 and 1/2 on both the sides ie left and right hand side on both white and black card. I then glued the spider paper onto the white.

I stamped the spiders 3 times and coloured them with my black embossing pen and embossed them with crystal powder. I used the 1 3/8 circle punch and 1 1/2 circle punches to cut them out. I stamped the happy boo to you on only orange card and cut out using a 2" oval punch and added a black oval punch underneath to one side for the shadow! I used some strong double sided tape to go down each side.

For the Front I cut another layer in purple to go behind the black front card which I had cut an oval using my fiskars oval cutter.

Then I glued the front to the back as shown below in the two photos.....

I then stamped the bats, dracula and ghost and coloured them in. I added diamond dust to the ghost to gliter him up! Also I stamped the Happy Halloween Hostess Set party punch and cut it out with the round tab punch. This was glued to the top of the card.

The card actually will fold flat to go in an envelope.

I will play some more with this set and get back to you.
Jenny:-) xx

This is what it looks like before adding all the scary bits to the front!

Simply Said.......

Sorry for not showing any cards since Friday, but we had a weekend away as its half term here....

We went to Kent to visit some Castles. First we went to Leeds Castle which was absolutely amazing. It had huge grounds with the most beautiful trees and little brooks, the autumn colours were lovely. The castle was surrounded by a moat and the reflection of the castle in the water went on and on. Inside the castle every room was well stocked, more like a mansion home. The bathrooms were all marble and the last owner a beautiful lady still had all her evening gowns from the 20's out for all to see. Her shoe cupboard were full and they had jewels and ribbon on them, just beautiful, she had such a tiny waist and feet!! There was an old kidney dressing table there and it brought back memories of my childhood as I had one of those with the beautiful mirrors.

The other castle was Bodiam Castle, which was a shell, just amazing and the boys (and me!) loved climbing up and down all the stone steps and in the small door ways. Yesterday we went to IKEA!! I love that place, one of everything please! Hee He. Their storage solutions are great. I got 2 rails for my stampin up punches, these fit 7 on them, should do for now!

Anyway back to these cards, Mary lent me the Simply Said set as I think this will be in the UK catalogue. The first card, I used Blue Bayou, Soft Sky and Groovy Guava card stock and inks. I stamped all over the blue bayou card with the Linen background stamp and used the ticket corner punch. I stamped the white card with soft sky and the linen stamp in soft sky then stamped the flowers over the top in groovy guava. I used the slit punch to hold this and added some groovy guava behind which I pricked down the right hand side. I added one of the metal ringed circles and layered a punched out circle and used the seeing spots set for the words and the flower. Added some ribbon and that card was done...

This one I can't make my mind up about, its missing some ribbon I think?

The cardstock is purely pomergranate and groovy guava. I stamped the groovy guava in purely pomergranate using the Tres Chic background stamp and finished the corners off with the tag corner punch. The scalloped circles are 3" and 2" ones and the groovy guava circle is 2.5" and stamped with the linen stamp. The hearts are in the Simply Said stamp set and also the little flower on the right.

I hope to get in the craft room today, but its half term and the boys need my help with some school projects. One has a project to make a Tudor House, I want to make this!! Can you tell I just love HISTORY!!

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-) xx

Doodle This Acetate Card...

Made Another!!! Should be working and I am at the same time, ideas keep coming in my head and I just have to go and quickley make them or I will forget....I am going to be 40 next year!!

This time I made the inside card the same as the acetate jacket. I used the Doodle This stamp set. Mary had made an absolutely beautiful card using this set and it reminded me to use it. LOVE LOVE this set......

The cardstock is ribbed from craftwork card. I know its green and red but it actually says its olive and burgundy!! I used the textile embossing folder for one of the red layers and finished off with the ticket corner punch. Then after the olive!! layer, I added some glitter board which I cut out the hole with the word window punch and added some white peel off words.

I stamped the flowers 4 times and added a gem stone in the centre. Added some ribbon and some glitter to the flowers. The cheeky clips aren't holding the card together, they are just CHEEKY!!!:-) XX

Season of Joy...Acetate Card

Another Acetate Card, this time using the Season of Joy stamp set.

Its the same instructions as the last card.

I used blue bayou, soft sky and white glitter board for this one. I stamped the image in versamark and embossed it with winter wonderland embossing powder. I added some silver brads to the centre of the flowers and snowflake. I also stamped the christmas tree as above.

I stamped all over the acetate jacket with white stazon and ran my heat gun all over it.

This is what it looks like from above!!

Its cold this morning so thats why the window is misted up.

I added some of the double stitched ribbon and the card was completed.

Hope you have a great day,
Jenny:-) xx

My First Acetate Card.....

OK Sharon, How long have we had these Acetate Covers!! Finally found them and had a play.

I stamped them with Doodle This stamp set with white Stazon. I ran the heat gun over them quickley. The card is doodle bug bazzil cardstock - cupcake. I first cut the back piece 8.5cm x 8.5cm, then glued this with tape to the back of the cover, ie behind the acetate cover. Then I opened the cover, still working on the backside. The next layers were 8cmx8cm and then 7.5cm x 7.5 cm. I stamped the inside with pink passion and a penny black sentiment.

Hope that is clear, the last instructions is whats behind the front layers!!!

This is what it should look like at this stage:-)

For the Front section, I glued a piece of pink card 7.5 cm x 7.5cm to the inside of the front of the acetate. To do this, I layed the card on the inside and pressed down the front on top of it, therefore its stuck to the front but from behind.

Then I cuttlebugged some vellum with the divine swirl folder and stuck this to some pale pink. I used the ticket corner punch and added some glitter brads from the range. I layered this on some pink card the same size of the white on the inside, therefore you can't see the white from the outside if you lay the card flat.....

I stamped the flower 3 times on different shades of pink and added a pearl brad.

This is a view from above the card.

Hope this all makes sense.

Have a lovely evening.
Jenny:-) xx
